Is there some reason why you're looking to replace it?

Are you trying to replace a broken laptop, or do you want to have two similar laptops for some reason?

If you're trying to replace a broken laptop, then I'd suggest first looking how much the same model would costs used (if available in your location). Buying same model as the replacement has the benefit of being able to use the old battery as extra battery, and being able to use the old laptop as replacement parts if the second one ever breaks down. If it's identical it might also be possible to switch your old HDs to the new laptop without re-installation.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lenovo-Y510p-15-6-inch-Laptop-Dusk/dp/B00HR6TXF8/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1395278094&sr=1-1&keywords=lenovo+laptop+Y something like that would be a direct upgrade. I normally wouldn't go nvidia with a laptop, nvidia gpus seem to run a bit hot, but this being lenovo it should be a more sturdy laptop overall.

I would take a look at lenovo's site and browse their laptops, the above is one configuration of the Y510p laptop and there are a few others (cheaper and more expensive) amongst other models.

That's certainly an upgrade on the CPU side, but not really on the GPU side.  If it's lacking an SSD and the previous laptop has one, then it's a major downgrade in storage, even.

Nvidia GPUs running unduly hot for the performance they provide was a problem specific to the Fermi architecture.  Newer Nvidia GPUs don't suffer from the same problem, or at least not in desktops and laptops.  Tablets and cell phones are a different matter, but there, Nvidia is competing against architectures from ARM, Qualcomm, and Imagination that are designed from the start for low power and low performance.
