Why does Wildstar Preorder not give access to the Closed Beta? Kinda lame

Why does Wildstar Preorder not give access to the Closed Beta? Kinda lame when you consider that you can get the Beta Weekend keys everywhere else, with a 100% guarantee. No lottery.

Why would we ever want to pre-order except wanting a ship for housing? I take my vote back on the "Pre order WS yes no" thread in voting yes. No point in doing so (for me).

Yes logging off in the rocket-ship grants bonus xp for leveling. But that's it.

Strange decisions...

    Like you said, you can get keys everywhere for the weekends.  I imagine if your interested any bit in Wildstar, you've already played it at least once due to the abundance of keys available.  Seems like not a real reason to entice anyone really.

    In my opinion. There's no real reason to pre-order until 2 weeks before launch.

     

    So you can reserve your names and get the pre-order bonuses.

    there is no more closed beta.. it ended on the 16th of this month, the preorder beta weekends take over for the closed beta from here on out, if the forums hadnt been wiped i'd link you the post.

    What on earth are you talking about? Pre-orders do get access to closed beta (the four weekends) and the forums. Where are you getting your facts? 

    Yes, the ONLY beta ANYONE has access to is the four weekends. At least check your facts before starting a misleading thread.

    Probably because they want to maintain control over the closed beta.  Giving anyone who preorders access to it would just open the flood gates and cause many issues.

    As for the other pre-order / CE bonuses, I think they are nice enough to encourage pre-ordering / CE, but not pay to win like another game.

    guess you didnt bother to read... there is NO closed beta anymore.. it was closed down on the 16th of march winter beta is over. as far as the game is concerned the beta weekends you get for preordering are the new closed beta.

    Dude personally i think they are giving you pretty much a lot of stuff in the pre-order. Both version gets you a Space ship house 30 days play time, 3 day head start, and 3 x 7 day playtime pass for a friend. Yes deluxe gives you more but again it that is why it is a deluxe edition.
     
    Regarding the close beta they don't hand out close beta keys anymore the testers that have access to close beta still test the game now you can only get open beta keys from now on. So they won't give you that just because you pre-order it does not make sense. I know you are really looking forward to play the game i am also and many others but none can expect them to change what a close beta is :) .

    guess you didnt bother to read... there is NO closed beta anymore.. it was closed down on the 16th of march winter beta is over. as far as the game is concerned the beta weekends you get for preordering are the new closed beta.

     

    I assumed the OP meant access to level 17+ content, which closed beta testers will still have during the weekends, but beta weekend testers will not.

    As others have said the closed beta ended last Sunday.  All that is left are these 4 marketing weekends and the bigger marketing opportunity of open beta in May.  There is some testing still going on behind the scenes in ongoing raid testing with select guilds, internal testing and possibly some testing by some of the core testers.  But closed beta after almost a year of beta is dead and over.

    Closed beta testers only have that access if they were able to get to level 32 by 16th. So even if they did offer a closed beta key, it wouldn't do any good because the new person with the key obviously isn't level 32, so all they would get is the same access to 17.

    LMAO, this is the kind of thing that cracks me up. People do not READ.

     

    There is no more closed beta. Its just the beta weekends and then an open beta before Headstart.
