I enjoy both. I find myself doing both just about equally, but when I have to choose, I usually choose pvp. Therefore I selected mostly PvP.
edit- Oh this is an ESO question! 90% PvP. I figure 10% on the odd quest while gather will make up my PvE
It really just depends on how each type of content feels when I play it. If the PvE is fun, I'll be playing that. If the PvP is fun, I'll be playing that. My preferences in the past have largely been down to the developer's implementation and how I receive that implementation.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
Almost tricked you there, didnt i?

People don't ask questions to get answers - they ask questions to show how smart they are. - Dogbert
yeah that was pro lol.
In ESO I'll probably play 95% PVE until I have a few alts at VR60, unless I dabble in the PVP and get hooked early. Haven't tried it yet. I've never enjoyed MMORPG-style PVP, where levels and gear are very important. The RvR in ESO looks interesting though, so I'll be trying it.
I love me some Planetside 2 and War Thunder, but that is a VERY different kind of PVP to the level-based MMO stuff.
Why put people in boxes?
I do whatever i feel like at the time..

I will mainly PvE, but I will take part in PvP as well.
It will be interesting IMO to see how this poll turns out on this site. The assumption has been that there are a lot of PvP players here along with Sandbox gamers. This is on the ESO forum, so it may be skewed, but interesting all the same.
How many people long for that "past, simpler, and better world," I wonder, without ever recognizing the truth that perhaps it was they who were simpler and better, and not the world about them?

Exactly the opposite on my part: 20-80, with 80 PvP and 20 PvE
Actually , those are two of the main things missing in this games PvE,...
the nine ( or the 8 at this moment) dont get the attention they deserve
and i have been wayting for years to finally find that developer that adds a political system to its game... It would have fit this ip rather well

Nothing against PvPers but they tend to exaggerate and assume their part of the game is the only real reason to play. They tend to be loud and say things like "if you want to PvE just play single player games!". Though I guess some PvEers say things like "If you want PvP just play COD!!".
I guess both sides are dicks.
Actually, I say if you want INSTANCED PvE and/or PvP, stick with single player games. MMOs should be about seamless worlds for both pvp and pve, not glorified lobbies. At an MMOs core, the seamless world (instanced free) is what truly sets an mmo apart from a single player.
And no matter what you do, free will or not...how much time you spent doing it, is still a statistic.

Amen, this should be gospel for the genre.
Mostly PvE myself, but PvP is good especially if done where it is balanced and works even with the PvE it makes it better. Used to love Galactic Civil War on SWG, proof that the two can be mixed well in an open world environment.
I voted Mostly PvP. If we were able to progress chars just as well on the pvp map, I would never leave PvP.
It would be nice if the open PvP map had enough quests, dungeons and boss fights to allow players to stay there. An open PvP server would be even better. Questing in other factions should also flag the intruding player for pvp in pve areas, but allow members of that faction to flag themselves if they choose to fight you.
i like both but usually like to do mainly pvp at end game. it just depends on what is the most fun for me at the time in the game i am playing.

Actually i am quite surprised by the results of this poll so far, i was expecting to see a lot more hardcore pvp votes.
But maybe we need another 135 votes before the game releases
