PvP (Planetside vs. DAoc)

Now I've played planetside but then we moved and i lost the game then found it and I'm considering buying CC  and starting up planetside again. However I have heard good things about DAoC and I am the kinda of player that lives for PvP so I'm wondering which has better PVP. Also is DAoC turn based combat or is it like planetside just whoever does the better damage?

Does DAoC have "rag doll" physics (meaning certain areas of body do more damge e.g. Shooting someone in the head would kill them before shotting them in the leg)?
Since I love PvP would planetside CC be better for me then DAoC (so many acronyms in the gaming worldimage and hi to all new to the forums here) Also anyother games that I might like (not EQ or Asheron's call or UO)

    First off PS is not a mmorpg its a mmofps. U dont pvp, in a FPS (first person shooter) you just shoot. DAOC is 3rd person and isnt turn based, but you click on whatever you want to attack and click the attack button while using whatever special attacks you have. It is nothing like PS so there is no way to compare the battle aspects of the game beyond the accual game mechanics.

    PS=MMOFPS

    DAOC=MMORPG

    If you like shooting games so much, you should get a real one. I personaly hate PS as a FPS games, the game lacks so much skill its unbelievable, any newbie can get on and haul ass. Your FPS skills are limited by the game, such as the stupid cone aiming, you cant shoot while running if you wanna acualy hit people because your cone fire goes wide, making your accual skill in aiming literaly irelevant because you are usualy forced to stop and sometimes croutch just to point and shoot at other enemys. Even if skill played a role, it seems that pure numbers and zerging are what makes peopel succeed in PS, was a huge problem on beta, and still, is a huge problem now.

    Not to mention its just become a huge Tribes rip-off. Guess they have a lack of ideas and originality. (if you played tribes you know what i mean)

    Quaduce got it right.

    They are 2 totally different type of games  and thus can not be compared.

    If you want a game based on strategy and skill, well last time I played it. Try out AC1 (asherons call 1, not 2, AC2 sucks). DAoC is too linear and restricting in combat that leads to an ultimatum that high levels and certain character classes always win. That and you gotta be maxed out or get maimed to fight out in the battlefields. Although if your looking for an FPS; or relative to one, neither will be good.
