MikeBMikeB Community ManagerAdministrator RarePosts: 6,555

Join us Thursday, March 27 at 7PM EDT in our Shroud of the Avatar subforum for a live Q&A with Portalarium's Richard 'Lord British' Garriott.

If you've got questions for Richard on Shroud of the Avatar this is an event you won't want to miss!

Please keep in mind that Thursday's Q&A is NOT a discussion thread. Simply submit your questions in the thread (or follow-up questions to any of Richard's answers) and allow him a chance to answer.

Remember to be respectful and courteous with your questions. Disrespectful questions, comments, or outright trolling will be dealt with harshly by our moderation team.

The below comments thread is NOT the Q&A thread. Again, the thread will be posted Thursday in our Shroud of the Avatar subforums.

Garriott: "I would rename Ultima Online to 'Richard Garriott's Ultima Online."

Given what just happened with Kickstarted Oculus Rift - they sold out to Facebook - maybe someone should ask Garriott if he plans on selling Kickstarted Shroud of the Avatar off to EA the way he sold UO.

Looking at all his past comments about EA and his regret of selling Origin, I would say NO. Not only that, but he could have gotten a job at just about any company he wanted yet chose to start up new one again.

You do realize Origin was sold to EA in 1992...waaaaay before UO was even launched in 1997.  Way before EA earned its reputation for being the suck.
