Just a heads up keep your game up to date. Just opened my launcher, it's downloading a 403 MB patch.

    Do they think that everyone in the world has unlimited bandwidth? lol

     

    Another patch & they would have patched out my cap for the month !

    You have download caps? Poor bastard. That sucks. You have my sympathies. I've been spoiled for too long. I guess I would learn to live with caps if I had to, I'm just glad I don't have to.

    you can also buy the physical version and install it from the CD. Although i think this patch won´t be on the CD either

    Well hopefully once game goes live patches won't be that big anymore (unless new content like new zones is added). I prefer playing the game instead of patching it.

    Is the Beta 1.0 patch or 1.01?

    Replaced the weapon rack in the tutorial with tables. These tables now contain a sword and shield, a staff, and a two handed maul for you to pick up.

    All kidding aside, I'm very grateful for my uncapped, broadband, 20 MB connection.

    That's why in New Zealand I use the Orcon VDSL unlimited plan. 40Mb/s and unlimited = finally real internet in New Zealand

    The patch is large cause

    "Implemented the final cinematic you’ll see at the beginning of the game.

    Added all remaining orchestral music and VO. Fixed many issues that were impeding quest progress."

    Just to be sure I decided to download the entire EU client installation from scratch. Looks like it's going to take a while, even with my 100mB line.

    The ZOS server pipe must be smokin' by now, lol

    They need to implement a peer-to-peer capability.

    Not force it on people (ala Turbine with LotRO and DDO), but make it optional for those who want to use it.  It would significantly reduce the load on their pipe and make overall download faster since fewer people would be dependent on their server for download.

    It's not that hard to implement and the payoff can be significant.

    Mine is 1.0.0.9.4.1.0.0.4 (2014/03/13)

     

    My updater could no find any patch so far.

    Check the settings under game options (drop down triangle just above the news). Do you have "Auto Update" set to "Always"?
