Catalyst + Medicinal Use Stack?

in Elder Scrolls Online

Ok so I was making a new tank build with the Nightblade and alchemy as a profession and was wondering if the passive ability catalyst in the siphoning line stacks with medicinal use, if so would that make my potions last 50% longer?

 

Catalyst II - Increase potion effectiveness by 20%

Medicinal Use III - When using potions, resulting effects last 30% longer

    Good question, hopefully they stack and no not override each other. I'm going for Argonian for the +15% potions on top of those.

    Aren't effectiveness and duration 2 different things?  I'm not sure how that works in game.

    "Catalyst II - Increase potion effectiveness by 20%"

    Effectiveness in the above case means 20% increase in effect not duration. So they wont stack but will be in effect at the same time.

    That sounds right. So 20% more effective and 30% longer effect, not 50% longer.
