Steve Tsao is the COO and President of IP Interactive. His company is hard at work bringing the Korean MMORPG "RAN Online" to the English-speaking market. Recently we had the time to ask him a few questions about his company and their product.
MMORPG.com: As players reach the end-game what will they find there?
Steve Tsao: The end game for RAN is full of encounters that require large groups. Additionally, the game is heavily PvP and encourages inter-school rivalries. But ultimately, a game end-game is a function of how successful the project is, there are many good games out there with little to no expansion of new content. RAN Online being one of the most successful mmorpgs in the world has a full pipeline of new content, monsters, quests, maps coming down for years to come, to support one of the largest gaming audiences in the world. |

hmm, sorry but I can't help but noticed that this 2005, whatever Korean Online Game worked in the Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia, these games are imported to the US and/or Europe.
RAN Online, another great game from Korea, been here in SEA for some years already.
Westerners will enjoy it
Hello,
Thanks for the discussion on our game. We are actively working on the hacking and botting issues within the game. We have a fairly aggressive Game Master team tracking down and banning the hackers.
The "soul" of the game will hopefully shine through once the translation work is finalized. Remeber, we are still in close beta, and that the version you are currently playing will be changed through the following weeks. The english in the game right now is very bad, but you will see the new changes in before march.
Steve
'Hope everything will be fixed when open beta starts. I've been online in your game forums and the staff is quite present to answer each of the gamers' questions.
Another good thing I've noticed is the part in RAN's forum titled "Hall of Shame" where banned hackers' names are listed. Quite kewl!
Odd that on the MMORPG.com page.
The first line has a type O "Steve Tsao and his company are had at work" on http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/setview/features/loadFeature/363/gameID/214
However in your post above the "hard" is correct.
I was just reading it and said to myself. If they can't make sure their promotional material is translated correctly they have a long road a head but I am sure this type O is just a copy / paste error.
Plaa.
