My dual wielding Imperial templar, is going steady but slow, 14 hours played and almost level 9...
Today he saved a king from being killed, solved a murder, played some lute, and met the daggers.. All in all, a fun day..
I am really enjoying every step of my journey... Taking it slow, enjoying the landscapes and discovering things like a hidden chest on a mountaintop which you could only reach by killing some evil elite monster, the journey is slow but the experience is great, actually this is the game swtor and tsw should have been ... There is one thing you dont want to do, and that is rush things.
And if you ever meet Bachus the Bard on EU servers, feel free to say hi....

And they have missed some of the best content the game has to offer, it's lore.

I don't give two damns about vet content atm to me leveling is 50% of the game for me. There's no point of being max level asap, cause new content probably won't be out for a while.
Barely had a chance to play yet but thus far I am just running around the starter island unlocking chests and doing quests I run into. I am not even stacking quests. I'll be leveling alchemy too. I am talking to every NPC and reading every book/paper around. They foreshadow much of the local lore and beyond.
I am in zero rush.
You stay sassy!
why? so i can have a gimped character that will need to backtrack in order to be fixed?
no thanks.
Missing out on a ton of story...and frankly it sounds a lot like exploiting to me. No way leveling normally could you be 50.
Edit* When I say you, I don't mean you specifically.
I thought my leveling tempo was pretty average, then I saw that a bunch of people in my trade guild are 20+ up to 30+. Bro and I just hit lvl 10.
Oh well, the story is enjoyable and I am not gonna spacebar through it.
Couldn't agree more!!! Eating one more taco and back to the game!!
They did not play the game, they probably rushed through the content and used an exploit.
Why do so many people care about how OTHERS spend their in-game time? Maybe they thought the quests sucked or that the story was boring. Maybe what they skipped was what making them miserable and NOW they're having fun. Or maybe, they've just been on for 48+ straight hours and didn't skip anything at all. Maybe they DID do all the content, smelled the roses and everything.
Different people enjoy different things in MMOs. Live and let live.
Personally, even though i think most of the quests in ESO are pretty lame, I still plan to take it slow and do them. But that's because I am not counting on ESO be my #1 game and to provide me with endgame (i already have EQ2 for that). But that's me... everyone's different.

played 12 hours yesterday and reached level 10... I heard that groups of 2 buddies level faster than soloing and if you activated the rings of mara, I guess that may help; I left the item for the Mara ceremony in the bank though
also anyone knows how much XP you get from running dungeons? maybe some are just running dungeons like in WoW
14 hours lvl 9
It´s great that it is so slow. You can keep up with crafting. I can always craft the right items for my level, cooking is fun, enchanting is difficult. So many things to do.
See you tomorrow.

Apparently players that are level 50 must really enjoy the game for their own apparent reason to get to max level that fast.
I look to be level 50 sometime in the next few months. This game has a lot of hidden quests that still need to be explored by me at my pace.
Or they already did that in beta.
I woke up an hour early before launch and thought I would have time to get my coffee and wake up before servers came up. when I saw servers were up I started making my character, ran through the tutorial, got to Auridon and headed over to Khenarthi's Roost. I had looted every chest, opened every urn, read every book, and by then I was well on my way to getting my base skills I wanted.
around level 4 I realized I still hadn't gotten up to make my coffee.
23 hours later I had to go lay down. fell right to sleep as the wife nagged me about being about useless today with the kids.
I told her I would make it up to her later..ZzzZZzzZzzz (was dreaming about seeing a chest in the distance, only to realize it was a rock.....damn it!!)

I'm just about to hit level 8 after playing 10 hours or so. I'm absolutely loving the game.
I'm quite surprised at the quality of the story. Some of the best writing I've encountered and that is someone coming from TSW, SWTOR, LOTRO.
My only gripe is that this is not a game for hoarders. I can't pass up a crate or barrel for the life of me.
