Not trying to be an ass, but it sounds to me like youve had experience with this before.

Were you playing an extended amount of time, so that they may have thought you were a bot? Or did you use any macros, or a macro keyboard?

Well at least game stop gave me my money back. Fucking Zenimax I really liked this mmo to. The quests were great and in line. With the lore, I was just on the mage guild, with the god of madness. Chessemonger hollow i wanted to see how to get the rest of the books. BASTARDS, if my stupid pride wasent in the way i would play my other account. But that stupid pride made me delete the game, and I am 100 percent not redownloading it lol. That takes 3 days...

Well enjoy the game people, sadly their mistake cost me, I am sure they wont ban every one lol. But for every one that does get banned for no reason, I hope you take my way and dont give these 12 year old hiring bastards any more money.

That certainly does kinda rule out that. I wouldn't be surprised if someone reported you as a bot because of some obscure reason though. All it takes really is to ignore some tells or long periods of standing etc...

The first day I played from the start at around 6am, till around 11. Took a brake, I didnt like that character so I deleted it started another, played from around 12 to 3, then from 4 to 8 and didnt log on till the second day. Played that day around the same times. Deleted 2 characters and finally settled on a Dark elf Night blade, that was going to be a vampire. Then today, I logged on for like 10 mins in the morning around 7, and didnt play again till 8pm at which time, It told me i couldent log in. I went to their site and i could log in, changed my pass word on the site, still couldent log in.

WHich them I called them.

The same thing has happened to me, but in WoW. Account was somehow compromised and they used it to try and sell gold. I was banned for a short while, and ever since then, I always use authenticators for my online game accounts. I do hope ESO at the very least releases a phone authenticator app because no matter how careful you are with your account, there are still ways in which in can be compromised that are completely out of your control.

Last night I reported a group of lower level characeters that were all stranding around a spawn point for a boss.

There are many players that legitimately stay in the boss room and kill him to get the armor or weapon upgrade - they could stay there for hours, this is not against the EULA.

If you stay inactive for too long in ESO you get kicked out - if someone wants to stay and farm a boss for a month straight - its OK as long as they are at the keyboard doing it.

This is absurd.

I agree some guildies and I used to go to a boss spot in SWG nightly, we along with others would be there for hours, I'd usually listen to music or watch TV while waiting, I"d just move a bit here and there to make sure I didn't get kicked; that meant long periods of my character just standing. Players really do need to use restraint when hovering over that report button.

Not one character ever moved a bit. In comparison, I was helping players with a boss today because some of them weren't getting the update. for about 30 minutes (kept helping the new players to the boss) people would move here and there, cast their spells, move to trade, get bored and take a stroll down the hall because the boss had a longer timer.

there is no auto attack in the game you have to left click.

Which means that all of them would have to have their fingers on their left mouse button and start clicking at the same time and repeat the whole process for 15 - 20 minutes.

I find it hard to believe those were players. Especialy in a low level dungeon.

True, or I made some one mad in the chat. But still, I do all those things in every mmo I play. I havent changed my habits lol. No ones ever banned me before. The only game I ever got banned from was UO, and that was because i put immortal techquies lyrics in the world chat on there. But even that only got me banned for a hour, I called them up explained what i was doing, and then instantly gave me access back.

Not o were sorry, I am 12 and i have no idea whats going on. I will forward your ticket, to some one that i have no idea who is. Sorry I cant get you into contact with a manger, no i am sorry i cant get you into contact with the people i am sending your ticket to. All you can do is wait 72 hours, so sorry.

This to me sounds like someone just wanting to hate ESO. I have read your thread from first to last page and honestly most the people are trying to help. You would not get a notification if your account is hacked because they will not notice until you call. Second even GW2 took me 2 days to get my account back and that is having all the proof i needed. And lastly, i work at GS and i know FOR A FACT they will not refund the money unless you LIED to them and said the code did not work or the CD was scratched. It is like the point cards once sold it is no longer allowed to be refunded if it shows signs of being used. for Account codes for ESO and others once you pre order it and get your code thats it you already lost the refund. So you are eather a very convincing person IRL or a very attention hungry kid.

The gold spam is ridiculous in this game esp it being p2p. I felt like I was back in an Aeria f2p game, and whats worse is the spammers know just how large to make the spam so its hard to get to their name.

First had to expand the chat box all the way up as large as it could go. Then the spammers made the spam longer so now have to reduce font size.

Don't they pay gm's to handle this in game? Havn't seen this amount of gold spam in this little amount of time in any p2p game I have played.

I have my account what are you talking about. I can log into it and do what ever. I dont to hate on ESO. I love the game, minus the customer service. There isnt one thing i dont like about it. I love the quests, I love the graphics, I love that it plays on ultra on my cheap graphics card. I love that its smooth game play. I even love the tab target/fps target system.

I really enjoy the crafting system. I was looking forward to finding the rest of the 4 books for the mage guild.So You didnt read my thread at all. Maybe you did, I'm not doubting that you did, it was a general statement, I do stand by it pretty firmly. Especially after reading a thread on this very issue on the GW2 forums.Some of the things I saw some reporting others for was highly questionable. Not responding to tells/waves that kind of thing. I miss tells all the time, especially in games I'm new in, as I don't know what to look for or listen for when I receive one. I'm also one of those players who hides chat when I can. I talk to guildies on TS. My wife in person.

I would say in reference to your post. It's one thing when you've played a game for ages and haven't seen that oddity happen, it's a bit different when it's a brand new game. I'd also caution that not every bot is a gold seller or the like.

Its also good here to note, that this triple aaa mmo with god knows how much money, cant even fight gold spam and bans the wrong people. But a game that makes almost no money, and isnt well known like Uncharted waters online, gets rid of the right gold spammers within 3 mins, and they dont spam any more. The gold spam here just never stop, and its by the same accounts.

Well no wounder i got banned. I dont even have the damn chat up. My chat didnt allow anything, the only time i went into it was to ask a few questions. One time i got in a arugement about the targeting system. So out of my 14+ hours of playing i spent 5 mins in the chat.

no just make it so some college kid can right click on the spam, put in a few "double checks" such as isolating that text and user and then stop access and if they nee, forward it to a higher level gm who deals with this stuff.

Since I'm all for people "playing" their characters I'm pretty much against botting. I just don't believe in it.

And I'd rather err on the side of getting a player botting for himself over a gold selling site.

Otherwise it's a battle that the game companies aren't going to win. Heck, they really haven't and that's why we see all these ways of them selling wares so as to bypass the gold sellers.

I do think that game companies rely upon methods that they might think are effective but plaeyrs see the spam "now". Getting rid of gold sellers as they spam is, in my opinion, the best way to boost player morale regarding gold sellers.

Im sure your second account is either set to follow your main and you either have a macro program or a macro keyboard to help play that toon.

Not sure of course about the macros, but there would be no real reason to have a second if it didnt help your main level. And trying to jump between two keyboards with the way targeting works in ESO would be neigh impossible.

Third you said youve been deleting accounts, which I assume means both of them, but I'll bet youve been transferring assets between the old deleted and the newly created toons.

So from their end it looks like youre a botter trying to cover their tracks.

Not saying you are a botter or gold seller. But Im sure it looked suspicious to them, hell it even sounds suspicious when I type it out.

This happened to me after I made a joke about people that buy gold should get hacked....So a big old middle finger to all the people that sell gold, buy gold, and try to blame innocent people.

Very well thought out post, and after reading it i do agree. If i saw these actions i would be questioning the person motive as well. not just on this game but any. It is not their intention but the way they did everything still made it look as such.
