So after they banned my account for gold farming, on the day i didnt play the whole day. They finally got back to me 2 days later, and this is what they said, closing my case.

Greetings Adventurer!

The dwellers of Tamriel thank you for taking time from your quests to report this offence. Maintaining the integrity of the land is a priority; we will investigate this matter and take appropriate action.

So there they go with that mystery investigation again. From people that you cant get in touch with, that will take appropriate action. With no proof as to why I was banned, other then you gold farmed on the day you didnt play. God their 12 year old customer support sucks.

Just curious and maybe this is possibly the issue.... You bought that early access code off EBAY for 5 dollars, maybe that person was a gold farmer and you nicely set up an account for him then that person proved the account belonged to him/her, hope you didn't need to attach a credit card number to your account yet.

That would be possible, but how would he of  got the user name and password. Not to mention it would of sent me a email, saying some one wanted to change them.

I doubt he is a gold farmer bashing the game he plans to sell gold for.... it would make no sense.

Odds are he was hacked or something and since a lot of people have been getting hacked lately, even in beta, it takes time for them to look at each account.

The reply he got was a standard "make it look like we are doing something while we didn`t even get to his issue yet" ...

Just wait, they are having serious problems now and my guess is the banned account investigation is not a high priority for them.

I have learned over my MANY MMO years.. that even a convicted killer doesn't think they're guilty.  They've somehow been wronged...

I wish ESO would do shame posts like some others so that way everyone can see.  If you did it, it's there with proof.  If you didn't then they'll look like idiots.

Justice for all.. and some hilarious things to read when servers are down for maintenance.

I am still going to play the game, i really do like it. I will to lower my standards, and say this is industry isnt like any other. I cant expect for them to respond in a reasonable amount of time. Nor can i expect them to fix anything. So it is as is kinda deal. Kinda like when you go to a new car dealership you expect the car to be great.

This is the kinda car you buy on the side of the road, and you get what you get. It might be a nice looking car, but dont expect help.

You don't need to hack to gain access to other people's accounts. The game will do that for you if it feels like it.

I want to feel sorry for people at times. But then you see the words Ebay.... And then it's like okay so 95% of people buy it the right way... Then the first person to get banned for gold farming is the one who buys a code from Ebay...

Sorry but it hurts your case a lot. Let's hope you are right and more people fall victim to this issue and then we can make it more of a public matter.

This is not hard to prove. Your provider does and yes ESO does keep track. Lol this is not something you ..ah who cares ..kind of thing. Even if someone spoof there IP still easy to find them.

Yet peoples actions about a situation tells allot.

Get enough people to report you as selling gold can not help. Just yesterday some one was like defending the gold seller and people all jumped in saying "report" this person now and this person was not even spamming or selling gold..so. LIke 5 said they would. Lol that cant help.

Wait he bought his code on Ebay? First...Why? Second, he's wondering why he may be having account problems like this ?

What are you talking about. I bought it the right way, from elder scrolls online web page. That payment is still pending, and the customer service person told me not to buy it again from their site, because they were having problems. So i went to game stop, and bought it there and they told me they ran out of 5 day codes. I dont know what you think my code from ebay has anything to do with them banning the account.

That doesnt make any  sense what so ever. Just because i bought it from some one on ebay, he gave me the code. He didnt sell me the account. He had no way to access it. Seriously think before you type.

What is wrong with you. What does ebay have to do with any of this. I had no problems for 2 days, they had problems with people getting random access to others accounts. Are you people seriously that retarded, that you hear ebay, and you jump to random nonsense. Wow I am done.

  • CrazyhorsekCrazyhorsek Member UncommonPosts: 272

May I ask why didnt you buy the game at a regular place like the zenimax store or amazon or greenmangaming or from any... you know, more legitimate source and opted for ... "a code from ebay"?

You realize the original owner/purchaser of the code can get that account back right? This has been happening since I started playing MMO"s in 02.
