I think it's interesting. It's an unexpected move to let guilds spawn these world bosses as a guild perk. Very powerful guild management. It also means that a guild can make a community collective difference.
The problem though, is that a guild would need 300 people to efficently handle Wurm. The coordination of these encounters is so much more challenging than anything you could ever encounter in for example WoW, with a 40 man raid. It's almost impossible with out some form of Vent or Teamspeak and a 3-way coordinated attack.
It will be interesting if there will be an alliance system that helps guilds band together.
How much resources will it cost guilds to have one of these events is another issue to consider. And if they make one happen will we get two at the same time, doubtful!
Not that I bother with it, but am concerned that it will remove the champ train zerg and thus a lot more players will simply leave!

Will wait and see...
As they said in the post, the ability to spawn the events will be disabled if near the regular boss window.

Boss-on-demand is pretty great. Never understood why they didn't have that in place with the Tequila rework.
The fixed timetable is a bit dissappointing. Same time for same boss everyday makes it easier to catch them, but also may mean you're never going to see a particular boss again, because you're working late, in shifts etc. A sliding time table might have been better.

They do repeat at different times.
And guilds will be able to start them at other times.

I am as yet undecided.

Good changes, reguar schedule makes annoying trcking of events across servers redundant which is a big +
Orr will be interesting though. Guess you could always spawn new fully contesed map if you really want to ;P
