What do you like about TESO?

With all these negative threads, I wanted to start up a thread to talk about what people like about the game. Please share here your positive experiences with the game. I will start first.

I love the questing. A lot of the quests are not kill 10 monsters of the local population for no obvious reason. The quests have believable backgrounds and some of them have some very interesting lore. So far I also like the main storyline around the prophet and the Ebonheart Pact faction. I also like quests are scattered around the map and sometmes you need to just go out there and find your quests. It's quite refreshing to have several categeries of quests - your faction, main storyline, guild quests, random quests.

I also like the pacing of the game. It feels perfect. I have been playing for 9 hours in total and I am level 8. It doesn't feel rushed at all.

Attention to detail and lore - there are tons of lore books that you can find and a lot of them have very interesting stories. I have found quite a few books which link to the other Elder Scrolls game. You can also loot pretty much most of the things you see - barrels, urns etc.

Crafting is great. I love how you have different styles and how you have to hunt down books and recipes to unlock new options. Deconstructing and improving items are also nice. I absolutely love how the resource nodes don't glow and look out of place with the environment. They just seamlessly blend with the environment.

Skill system is great. You have four classes but you have the flexibility to play them in many different ways. Each class can equip all weapons and all armour types which allows for some very interesting builds. You can also pick up new skills from your guild to complement if your class is lacking in an area (e.g. dragonknights getting spells from mage guild, sorceror getting physical attacks from fighters guild).

You can become a wearwolf and vampire! Need I say more?

That's what I like so far from what I have seen in the game.

Please do not post about what you DON'T like about this game. There are another 20-30 threads where you can do that or you can start thread number 50 on pointing our flaws. Also comments like I have nothing good to say about the game are also not needed! If you don't have anything nice to say about the game, then don't post. Simple as that.

Only played in beta, so i'll give points from there, and general videos and info.

The class/skill system: While i do prefer fully skill based and no trinity, there truly is alot of flexibility in the system. Class skills, weapon skills, etc. Lots of variety. Yes, you'll end up with cooki cutter builds slicing off atleast 50% of them, but you can't have everythign, and it feels its great as it is.

The questing: While i still rank TSW and GW2 above it, it's still better than general mmo questing, specially because of the "open end format" ala TSW, which allows for exploration.

Crafting: It may only allow for creating standart stuff like armor, weapons and consumables, but compared to other themeparks, it's definitely better than most recent ones (still waiting on WS's crafting). But to fair, i haven't read enough on it yet, but i liked what is saw.

Tresure maps: It may only be a small feature, but like GW2's jumping puzzles, it's a great way to break the pace of traditional "quest, explore and kill" format in themeparks.

Stealth: Not fully sure how it's going in terms of balance yet, but it from the videos i've seen, specially in PVP, it's a great mechanic.

I could pick out about a dozen things but ill just keep it simple and say the immersion of the game... I know its a cliché and generic response when it comes to this game but hey, Its probably the most important factor when playing a MMO... ESO's world just really sucks you in, from the sunsets and thunderstorms to the abundance of little critters running around, Which you kill for bait and leather.... Although its a themepark the zones are set up so cleverly that you never feel you are being led from area to area instead exploring the map at your own pace.

Trading/selling feels so much more interactive with no true AH in this game, Twice last nice I actually bargained with players on selling price for 2 items something I haven't done in years in a MMO. Again , forcing you to interact with players to sell really adds to the immersion of a living breathing world you are sharing with other live players. I could go on and on but ill keep it short and just end with saying this game has been a blast to play so far

I love the music and scenery.  I love the story telling and drastic change from modern MMOs.  I enjoyed the few dungeons I've run (minus the bugs).  I love that crafting seems relevant as you don't level fast enough to make it obsolete in 2 minutes.  I like that I've played a week and I'm level 12.

I was skeptical.  I enjoyed beta, but was still skeptical.  This game has a lot of potential and Zenimax did a lot of things right.  If they can just fix the blasted bugs I will be playing this game for years to come.

I like the graphics and overall feel of the game. The semi realism vs cartoony I guess. I the pacing and difficulty of the game is a nice. I'm nit dinging a new level every 30 mins or so. The new skills you get early on really matter. I have yet to delve into crafting, and only completed a few quests, but the quests are nicely done from what I have seen. The open world feel of the game vs the starter islands I played in beta. ESO feels more like an adventure and explore game than what I expected.

I love everything about it , haven't enjoyed a game like this since the Original EQ. The quests are not just fetch this and that , but actually draw you in to the story and lore. The massive freedom and scope for developing unique characters is something I haven't really seen in a recent Mmo ( with the exeption of Pre NGE SWG of course ! ) . Also for someone like me who has always been crap at PVP and therefore never managed to enjoy it , this game changes all that , you can enjoy Pvp no matter what your skill level ... and Cyrodil is just an awesome Pvp area !

Kudos for making a positive thread to OP :)

Uh, not much. The graphics and I suppose the lore. Everything else feels dated.

Well for starters the story is very good, feel very immersed right from the get go!

The graphics for an MMO are pretty dam good one of my favorites only behind GW2 (IK Graphics aren't the most important for an MMO because theres so much else that needs to go into them)

PvP: Haven't gotten that far but it looks very promising

Combat: Same good feeling from Oblivion and Skyrim

Only negative I have is how when I click left and right on my arrows that my screen doesn't follow like in other games such as WoW, Guild Wars 2, Rift. Just a little annoying but hey its a small detail. If someone knows how to fix please let me know :)

The Struggle of learning a new game that atucally has some very diffrent mechanics for an MMO, and that is fun.

    P.S: That Crafting Doh.

May seem strange but I like the combat. It's not as clunky as the ES single player games (which again I liked).

It just feels more reel, like I'm holding and swinging these weapons. In a medieval setting where everyone is flying about like legolas just looks silly. :)

I know games aren't about realism and a lot of games don't strive for that. However, it is nice when I know I'd be the same clunky idiot in real life as the the avatar I'm controlling. It does add immersion.

I like a lot about it. I especially like the minimal UI.

Parts of this game really remind me of the Original EQ at launch. I am finding I love not having an AH. You either need to speak to people, or do it via the guild stores. I'm finding this means people are much less easily geared. It's harder to twink yourself in the best gear for your level, and sometimes, you are stuck wearing and using gear below your level. That's a challenge I enjoy.

The Graphics, the lore, so far, I'm liking most of it.  I'm not a raider or and end game player, so for me, this is fitting in nicely with my life, work schedule, and play style.

Enjoying the quests, a bit of the pvp, the world, being able to head out and find "something" (though I prefer how it's done int he single player ES games) beign able to choose how to build your character, and actually the crafting. Only game "ever" where I've enjoyed the crafting.

    And of course the lore.
