There is way to many ingredients and not enough bankspace

there is also no option to quickly see the level of  the ingredients

Requires a bit of time but go to a fire/cook pit and click on the recipes you have. Take the lower level mats out as they show on the (for example) level 1 recipes. Give to an alt or something. There aren't hundreds. A couple of quicj notes on a piece of paper and you can clear your bank .

    Edit:

Also, when you  have a full bag, wayshrine back to town and find a cookfire. Burn the highest level mats you have the ones that you have the least OF. So when you craft you open a few slots just leveling up.

I agree lord it is starting to become difficult with the abundance of cooking mats at lvl 13. I basically now selectively choose mats out of crates (mats I know I have recipes for) as opposed to a few lvls ago where I just took everything. Its kind of annoying but at the same time I love it. It makes crafting feel deep and have a purpose as opposed to other MMO's.

Don't forget how you handle bag issues in other MMO's... you make mules.  While your characters share the same bank space, your character bags are not shared.  You can easily gain quite a lot of storage space by creating mules, and buying the bag slots.  I'm up to 90 on my character, currently saving up for the next upgrade, which is going to cost quite a lot heh.

I find that the more bag space I have, the more I hoard.  So I'm having to let go lower level crafting items, like someone above suggested, just craft the lower level components at the crafting tables.

Actually, this is one of the first mmos to really challenge me with regards to bag space in quite a while.

Actually had me wishing they did sell it in the store.

I have bought bank space and inventory space, plus I have been feeding my horse to gain another slot as well.

But I will try what Digna suggested.

You only find higher level items in higher level zones. If you don't go looting around in a lower level zones you won't be picking up the lower level mats.

Ah yes, I had this problem when I first started.  I got a great system down now.

I have made 8 alts, and parked them by the bank.  Mind you, you have to really fit things together like tetris blocks when doing this.

I made a chart of all the gear I have to research,  and made an alt for each one.   I also did this so that I do not have to worry about accidently deconstructing a piece of gear I need to research for a trait.

First make a chart with every trait and slot.  Highlight the squares for gear you put on your alt so you know what ones are ready to be researched, and then when you research them, put a checkmark in the box so you know you can destruct or sell that type of gear with that trait on it.

    1. Heavy Armor -  All heavy gear found goes onto this alt for researching.   Put any Overflow Styles onto this mule

    2.  Light Armor - All light gear found for researching goes on this alt.   Put any Overflow Hides onto this one.

    3.  Medium Armor - All medium armor found for researching goes on this alt.  All Armor Trait gems go on this alt.

    4.  Woodworking  -  All Staffs and shields for researching go on this alt.  All Overflow wood goes on this alt.

    5.  Weapons - All blacksmithing metal weapons go on this alt of researching.  All Weapon gems go onto this alt.

    6.  Provisoner -  All Overflow Pork, Aged Meat or ingredients go onto this alt.  Including crafted provision stacks.

    7. Enchanting/Alchemy - Throw all runes and plants on this mule.  Break down as often as it fills up, put enchants or potions on auction immediately afterwards or try to squeeze them onto your woodworking character or other alt that has less research gear on it.

    8.  Main Character,  have Zero things stored on it, except for CE crap, mark that as junk so it doesn't show up in your banking options.   Sell all consumables to merchant as often as you can, only keep the food and potions you are going to use on your character.

Buy as much bank space as possible so you can Overfill that thing up when you go treasure chest hunting and gathering.  So you have to transfer to your alts less.   Log into your alts after your bank gets packed going 1,2,3,4, 5, and 6, taking everying out of the bank, ready for your next full stuffing!!!

"Admit it you stuffed her like a thanksgiving turkey!!!!"

I'd suggest buying your personal inventory space after your 11k bank upgrade. Good luck.

Although I admire your organizational skills there is no why in hell  I could ever have the patience to pull that off lol. Honestly that much flip flopping back and forth with toons would break the immersion of the game for me.

The only 2 professions that are really killing bank space for me are cooking and enchanting, But iv kind of made mental notes for myself and now  have a idea of exactly what I need and don't need for recipes

Having a few bank alts help, but there are also having multi horses (one for running, one for bag space)

And there are also a few add-ons which quickly show you which weapons/armor you need to keep for research (saves having a excel sheet) and what level each item is for (provisioning)

My main does all the trade skills but I have an alt as a bank for each tradeskill.

Sure its a bet of a pain, but there is SO MANY different food types (a bit like real life)

I spend all my gold on bankslots and extra bag space... and all my horse food on bag space...

Point is, i currently have over a 100 types of materials alone in my  Bank...  as punishment for being both a blacksmith and a provisioner.  And while leveling up, this will only get worse.  So i am sorry to say, your remark misses the target by miles.

I am leveling three characters, each with two professions.  I am banking every single crafting material that I get my hands on from all six professions.  So, no.  It doesn't.  However, they just all made it to mainland recently and haven't gotten any of the higher quality materials yet.  My suggestion is to sell what you aren't going to use, use the materials for leveling up your skills for professions you do use, and/or get rid of low level materials by way of destroying them.  Also, you could start carrying some of these items on your characters.  You may have to visit town a little more often, but it's not really that big of a deal.  Time to make some choices.  Maybe they will increase inventory capacity again if enough people ask for it.
