    hmm...I was so sure it's 124 degrees...because:

    Statement | Reason

    angle C = 124 | Given
CD || [parallel] AF | Given
    angle C + angle D = 180| Supplementary Angles = 180
--note-- it means that angle D = 56 degrees
    angle D = angle A | Given
angle C = angle F | Transitive Property of Equality [note: you can also use substitution]

ick...I hope that helps, though it looks like shit.

Nope ::::33:: But at least you showed your work. Half credit ::::40::

Even if it was 56, which it isn't, it wouldn't matter in the way you are coming to the 124. It's not a reflection.

If it was a reflection, the 80 would be 90 not 80.

    But it is 124

so you posted for the sole reason to tell us this was easy and that you had to go to bed?image

i got a couple different answers but then i found out that all of them were wrong after doing the problem again.

That reads like an alien language to me.

How the hell did I get through Geometry? Or Algebra II and Algebra III for that matter?

How could I have forgotten almost everything?

    there's an Algebra 3?
  • MageRavenMageRaven Member Posts: 6
Why are you guys talking about math? I'm in AlgebraI. Much more easier. Hehe. If there's AlgebraIII, is there an AlgebraIV as well? NOOOOOOOO!!! It goes on and on and on! @_@

Yeah there is an Algebra 3. If you go to a "Ghetto" or "Hick" school it might not be available heh. I took A3 Sophmore year(1st year of HS where I live). I tried to do Trig Junior year but after I couldn't do one problem on the review "fun" sheet on the first day of class I dropped it. A great decision I think. I already had 2 more math credits than I needed to graduate so no more math my last 2 years of HS. This also meant 4.0 Junior and Senior year since only Math was giving me below an A.

The problem from this was that my Math ACT score suffered(ACT not SAT in OK) so that when I went to college I was forced to take and pay for 2 review classes before I could take the regular College Algebra which was the only math required for a lot of degrees. Being the retard I am I took and passed the 2 review classes for no credit then stopped taking classes before I took the required Algebra. So now I can barely add fractions or do long division(7th grade math). However I breeze through any History or English class big time.

I'm having a hard time understanding what you just said. So you took AlgebraIII in Sophomore year. What happened to your Freshmen year? And what happened to AlgebraI and AlgebraII? In my school, people take AlgebraII in their sophomore year (as an honor class) or Junior year (regular college prep). Trigononmetry is taken in Junior year earliest. Then, it's Precalculus and Calculus (whatever complicated math they are suppose to be) in Senior year. AlgebraIII has never been heard of in my school.

I think the answer is 124 degrees.

I live in Arkansas, and I've never heard of an Algebra III. What's the point of it? Algebra preps you for higher levels of math, and with 2 years of Algebra, I had no trouble with Trig and Calc. It seems to be wasting a year of math IMO. I got a 35 on the ACT with my hick math. Oh well, to each his own.

I was a math whiz entering Junior High. Here in Oklahoma, or at least in my school district: Elementary School is K-6, Junior High is 7-9, and High School is 10-12. Also we use the block system for classes in Junior High and High School which mean 4 classes a semester then a different 4 the second semester.

I took honors Pre-Algebra in 7th grade, honors Algebra I in 8th grade, and honors Geometry 1st Semester in 9th grade. Our head math teacher offered some of us in the honors classes a jump-start on High School math with an Algebra II class not normally offered in Junior High. I took it my second semester of 9th grade and passed it, but started losing my edge in math. When I went to High School I took an honors Algebra III in 10th grade. Only 1 other sophomore was in the class with me. Even though I barely made it through A3 I took Trigonometry which was the next class up my Junior Year. This is when I called it quits with Math.

    Thanks Mrs. Cleo.

    And thanks to everyone else.

I know some kid in my grade is taking 12th grade advanced math, and he's in 10th grade. But he lacks a social life like you wouldn't believe... his parents make him do homeworking during the summer!

some smart girl aT my school skipped 7th and 8th and went right to 9th at an IB school, she def. had issues.

in any case, is there a set number that the figure in question has of degrees, like a circle is 360 degrees around.
