Will they be doing something about the phasing ?

I'll tell you what, this is one of the best mmos I had played in years.  I just turned level 8 and haven't joined a Guild yet.  I had some problems with this issue in Bata with playing with RL friends. They chose to wait until they fix the game.  Fixing as in the heavy phasing issue.

By soloing and learning crafting, ESO is flawless.  Because of that I can see myself playing for a long time HOWEVER because of phasing I may not even get 30 days from it.

This really hit me in the face last night :

I was soloing a short chain quest where I had to go in to a tower and enter a trap door on the floor.  It was a very short cave with a little personal mini boss that I just could not quite beat.  After several attempts and major armor repair bills ahead of me I decided to exit.

Just outside, someone quickly entered the tower and  ran into the instance.  So, Like every mmo I had ever played I decided to group ( forgetting about the phasing ).  Players were entering the tower like crazy, looking around, looting fast lootables and leaving.  I tried desperately to interact.  No name plates, no levels, right clicking bringing up the chat wheel circling around it to find the chat, only for them to be gone from the tower as fast as they came in.  Just like all mmos everyone does every thing fast and gone, we all do that.

I then realized even if I could get some ones attention they prob didn't see the trap door as an instance....I was forced alone in this case......What were the developers thinking when making content like this ?

I'm understanding the game now, and will be joining a Guild soon, but because of this, my time with this great game may be short.....It's to be an mmo ( multi player ).

Are developers looking into this ?

it's not gonna change, it's how the game has been developed, it's how they keep their story sepearated and zones changing due to story and changes. it's just a part of the game, it's sort of annoying but you learn to live with it.

Had this same problem with a public dungeon meant for 2 people to group up for, tried catching people attention before they whent in... didn't work. So I go in and there's noone inside, thankfully I got phased in with some people after a few pulls and cleared it.

Its the keyfeature that makes the game so immersive ( to me) actually seeing the gameworld change based on my actions.

as allways every advantage has as many disadvantages.... But i am quite confident, with time they will iron most of them out.

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

Well I think the immersive could be there just the same with or without phasing.

So far and I'm only a level 8 ( I cant imagine anything would change ) But it seems as most are short 3 or 4 part chain quest, and I don't see the point in not allowing anyone go into the mini dungeon with the person on the chain quest.

Separate from phasing, this chat wheel has no business in an mmo for talking to people next to you.

Like I say, I LOVE ESO. Just some un needed quirks is all.

Nah, it couldn't. In ESO, when you kill that Necromancer that is summoning all the skeletons.. there are no more skeletons. If there wasn't phasing then the first person to kill him would just delete the quest from the game or you'd kill him and nothing would change, all the skeletons would still be there. That's just one example, there are hundreds.

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
