I would say take a break. ASsuming you started with the 5 day early access and you played every day, you have been playing 10+ hours every day. That's a helluva lot. In the same number of days I only have 9-10 hours.

So basically, you measure your enjoyment against your ability to progress compared to others when playing the game the way you want to.
Frankly, unless your way of playing is equal to or better than their way of playing in terms of progression, then you're always going to end up with a problem.
So, no one here has any advice that can help you, the problem isn't the game, it is you.

Maybe you should go back to minecraft since you know, you have been playing it for 4 years and clocked 15.000+ hours. Btw playing every hour for 4 years is about 35.000 hours. So you mean that you have been playing 11 hours every day for 4 years straight. No wonder you get bored of games. Too much free time.
Maybe the solution is to not play the game for 8 hours a day and experience the real world for a bit. I don't get why people don't get why they burn out on games when it is the only thing they do all day.
Nobody in life can sit and do the same thing all day every day and have it not feel like a job.
That a cop-out answer TBH. Especially consider many of us played MMO's in the not to distant past with the same gusto and bravado as we do now. The real answer here these games today just don't have the longevity to keep us playing for hours on end. I've played WoW, AC1 and DAoC for 12-14 hours a day far into their lifespan. 2 years into the game and I never felt like I was burning myself out. The reality of the situation is that today's modern MMO design is no where near as good as the orginals they try to emulate. And that is 100% fact!

I use to play WOW for like 10 hours a day my freshman year of college. No lie I procrastinated my homework alot, but I did get it done at last minute lol. I have been playing this game since TBC and i'm still not burned out. Why? Well I take breaks and quite a few of them.

Also, we don't know if the OP might have a disability that could prevent him from moving around alot or going outside. I'm not saying that's the case and if it was best wishes.
So I guess I should first off say I have enjoyed the combat, questing, exploring, public dungeons, and much more. I think my Top 3 Things in this game have been Skyshard Hunting, Public Dungeons, Crafting. Not much of a crafter in Most MMORPG's so that is a big big thing so far for me.
I have even created over 40 Let's Play Episodes for the game. Though overtime I was starting to do less and less. Before I covered pretty much any and all my gameplay and then I began to be more distant only updating on my progress in the videos.
So I guess most would say take a break you played a lot but that is really not my issue. I have played Minecraft for 4 years with some breaks but overall played it none stop with easily 15,000 hours+ And I run a couple servers for people thinking that is insane so it was a pretty big hobby for me.
What is my biggest issue? Well I love questing but I'm sort of not wanting to quest as much. I guess I ended up falling so much into the exploring and the public dungeons that I ended up going back to stonefields to make sure I had them all done. I have done some PvP but I found the PvP for me did not offer me enough reward to keep going. I don't expect PvP to be equal or offer me more exp then PvE soloing but I would have enjoyed it more if I could at least get 1/3rd of my exp by just taking castles and joining a raid and fighting for my alliance.
I'm not even sure if someone can suggest anything for me to do or if I'm just screwed. I feel a bit depressed that I'm only 23. I do love the idea of a slow leveling system but at the sametime I guess I get brained washed with so many people doing the ring exploits and duo exp grinding with AoE that it makes my little archer sad.
Here is a screenshot of in game of my played and my little cute horse that I grinded up the gold for.

Ya so OP.. no one cares!! In fact to anyone getting ready to post the next here's - me - burning - through - content - and - then - complaining / venting / epeening or whatever...
no.. one.. cares..
Ok now that I've written that post that no ones cares about I'll go back to avoiding forums.

or maybe mmo's just are not that addicting anymore after playing them for the last 15 years? when wow launched, was it a better game and better design than ESO? i would definitely disagree.
and your last statement is not a fact. the actually reality of the situation is maybe you are burned out on mmo's or gaming in general? or maybe you need to play a completely different type of game?
or how about not expecting mmo's to be addicting and last for years like your first mmo's did? that's the actual reality of the situation, not playing opinions off as fact.
I'm not one of those people that will bow in admiration for a screenshot of someone's /played, or their accumulated vids. Grats on having that much free time?
You burned yourself out. Take a break. Seems like a no-brainer.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't skyshards more important than levels? Yes levels gives +10 stats and a skill point, but afaik sky shards are more important than a higher level.
Of course, gear does more damage also - but how much important is that in AvA?
Well the OP lasted longer than I did. After three Beta weekends in which I completed around 6 hours I had enough, I didn't even log in for the final beta weekend. The game just wasn't for me.
I'm not even sure if someone can suggest anything for me to do or if I'm just screwed. I feel a bit depressed that I'm only 23. How about playing for the sake of playing and "letting go" of what others do.
If you try to keep up with "the joneses" you will always lose.
Depressed that you are 23? You need perspective. There are people I know who started today and they are level 6.
some people have been playing since launch and they are only in their teens.
You've got to start doing things "for you" and stop measuring yourself against what you perceive as "better". Because it's not. After all, where has it gotten you? Imagine if you let go of leveling and just logged into the game and had fun until it was time to log off? No eye on the prize just "being" and enjoying yourself.
Because, in the end, when all is said and done, everyone reaches "50". ( )
Hey now, been playing since day 1 of the early release and I just crossed level.....17 yesterday. Same with several of my friends, what's wrong with that?
Yeah, i could stress at the posts from people who say they are in the high 40's already, but there's really nothing to race towards, I'll get there when I get there, meanwhile I've got to go back tonight and pick up some skyshards I've missed along the way. Oh yeah, and crafting, need to work on that too. Oh yeah, and the PVP in Cyrodill, have been there once, but need to get back soon. And that darn spiderqueen in Spindlewhatever.... my guild group got to her last night, but couldn't take her down. (having a level 10 healer with us might have been the problem, but we'll be back)
Gah...so much to do, not enough time. I will say however, sometimes I do get a bit burned out on the solo quest grind, but right about then I usually have to take a 20 minute "bank" break to clear up everything and perhaps catch up on a few other things as well to keep it fresh.
Edit: BTW, did you see how good those NPC healers are in Spindlehall? I want to know what their build is that lets them fully heal everyone in their party almost instantly.....ours wasn't nearly so effective.

"100% fact!" Lol. You seriously lose any credibility you could have possibly had whatsoever when you make ridiculous statements like that.
I played 3 beta weekends and I did not find a single dungeon that wasn't a tiny linear dinky thing. Does this hold true for the whole game?
I was initially excited by public dungeons, a return to golden age MMO standard....except they're designed just like instanced dungeons. Linear with a boss at the end, fit for maybe 8 people max.
The big main quest setpiece dungeon that you need a group for... 100% linear and completely boring, just like all the LotRO, WoW, and "modern" dungeons.
Is there anything closer to DAoC or EQ or Vanguard dungeons?
