Having a ton of games to play is certainly a boon, but it usually means that I’m late to the party on the newest gaming hotness (unless that hotness is an Elder Scrolls game). In the case of Diablo 3, I’m actually kind of glad that I missed the boat on launch and waited until the Reaper of Souls release, because I skipped past the whole RMT Auction House and loot kerfuffle and am now enjoying a super polished and fun Blizzard game.

I haven't purchased the expansion, but I have been playing the new update that was a pre-cursor and I have to admit that they definitely improved the game. Although it seems so much easier to gear up. I dunno bout anyway else but I've been getting quite a bit of loot recently with the new loot changes and it almost seems that it is to easy to gear, but I have only played maybe a total of 5 hours with the new patch, so it may just be me not playing enough.
I'm interested in the expansion however for what you get and the price tag, I am not really feeling pushed or enticed to go out and purchase the expansion. Maybe in some time I will get it but right now just don't feel the need.
Best played with friends.
Very much fun tearing up Rifts in a full party.
Agreed. Best played with buddies. The expansion was good.
Repeatable content and loot grind is pretty much what ARPGs are about. I think you are wanting it to be more like an MMO with new content every month or so.
I feel you though, because I personally can't get into the loot grind a whole lot so I don't. I mostly play to enjoy the content then move on.
Yeah you're right, that expansion which completely reworked the loot system (Yes, literally) and came out less than a month ago has already turned into "A few months of trying to get better gear".
Thank you for coming here, opening up your anus, and talking our of your ass for the whole world to see. You're pointing out a problem they have acknowledged and fixed, next you could get on fixing our misunderstanding of the world being flat...
Twould truly be a better game if it were 2d, isometric, severely limited in classes and skills, gender locked characters, confined to one dungeon, possessing of a fistful of enemy types, and running at a blistering 640X480 or 800X600...
I miss back when Diablo was Diablo.
This is the same reason I'm not touching ESO until "second release".
Whether it's that's big patch, expansion, or F2P or B2P I'm sure the game will be so much better at a certain point. Diablo 3 became sooooo much better at 2.0
Crude alpha? Oh give me a break. Vanilla D3 was a fine, polished game. The fact you would call it an alpha shows just how ludicrous you are, and exemplifies just how inane much of the hate it when is comes to this game, and Blizzard in general.
You strike me as the type of person who bought the absolute best gear you could find in the AH, then complained on the forums after an hour of grinding that you couldn't find any upgrades, that the AH ruined the game, blah blah blah. Guess what? The better the gear you have, the longer it will take to find upgrades! Wow, what a concept right?
I swear the majority of D3 haters have the most ridiculous arguments and exaggerations.
AN' DERE AIN'T NO SUCH FING AS ENUFF DAKKA, YA GROT! Enuff'z more than ya got an' less than too much an' there ain't no such fing as too much dakka. Say dere is, and me Squiggoff'z eatin' tonight!
We are born of the blood. Made men by the blood. Undone by the blood. Our eyes are yet to open. FEAR THE OLD BLOOD.

I received D3 with the WoW locked sub thing, and I enjoyed playing through the game the first time around. I sat on it after though because of how ridiculous the loot system was because of (RM)AH. 2.0 breathed new life into the game and I am completely enjoying my badass Crusader.
I'd say the game earned many of the negative comments it has received in the past, but much of those complaints are rendered moot in light of 2.0 and the xpack.
I laughed so hard at this...
The only people still playing RoS are streamers and people who play 30 minutes a day. Everyone else is done as there is nothing to do.
For those that dont know, aside from a few sets/potions, all the same legendaries drop in normal mode as in torment 6.
There is essentially no reason to gear up for harder content as it pretty much gives you the same reward.
Ya me too. It's so true. PoE is way deeper and more customizable than D3 could ever be. I could only stand playing D3 for 2 weeks tops but I played PoE for 5-6 months. Wish D3 had more going for it only being able to create one type of witch doctor is kind of boring. In D2 I had 3 different necromancer builds and they were all fun and viable.
Yeah lets go ahead and rip this guy since his opinion doesn't match yours. This guy liked the game the way it was, great. Not everyone agrees on what is and is not fun to them.
I did not purchase the expansion and I thought about it a few days ago but people have told me this exact thing. I am glad I waited and now will wait for the big price drop before I buy it.
yes.
Diablo 2 was played as an rpg.
Diablo 3 plays like an arcade game
If you like arcade games you will like d3
If you like rpgs you will hate d3
Just my 2 cents
lies they have patched the thorns but if you got good thorns gear you can still do massive damage just not more instant killing ghom or rift bosses and stuff boss like but rare packs and elites plus champions yes they die in a sec but i think they balanced it so much better so you cant just go on t6 then instant ghom for tons exp
It's all a bunch of lies. Don't listen to him.
pffft, the witchdocter was pretty original but the crusader is just the paladin from D2 with new gfx.
meh.....not buying the exp.
