Is provisioning completely stupid? (apparently not)

Use up tons of inventory slots, use up skill points to improve, give modest buffs....  no wait, A  SINGLE modest buff.

I don't get it.  Did the developers have a lot of extra time to come up with a completely unnecessary game system?

Yeah this was the one craft skill that made no sense. I stopped working on it when I noticed you could not have at least 2 buffs going at once.

Really?  So you havent seen any recipes that buff 2 or even all 3 stats?  You complaining when you have no clue. It seems.

The blue and purple recipes are amazing.  The single buff if you use as you progress is significant.  Probably the best use is to make money.  You won't be buying any horses anytime soon, but if you get the skill that allows you to make 4 items with one combination (forgot the name of the skill) it is a good money maker.

Its odd how you can't have a drink and food buff.

    +1

The stat bonus is huge and it's completely free.  I make food instead of drink just because I want a large enough pool of my primary stat to finish off anything I come across in a fight.  I just don't pick up drink mats and I have plenty of inventory space.

    Aw, poo poo!

A food item that is easy to make, giving me 2-3 nice buffs isn't good enough!  Wah!  I pooped my pants! /cry

I actually picked up provisioning right away ( I love cooking irl) and leveled it to 50 within a full day in game. Then traited for purple recipes and whatnot and I must say that even at character lvl 30 I had amazing buffs affecting two of my stats and it was ridiculous. I'm looking forward to the BIG BUFFS and making money off of it. It's a little hard to manage at first with all the different little cooking items but I got through it. It's pretty fun too!

    Purple Recipes FTW.

Food or Drink has allowed me to Tank dungeons I really didn't have any business tanking.

They didn't start a thread pronouncing judgement from on high when you obviously know nothing about it.  ;)

On a more general theme, Provisioning is free money.  The materials are everywhere, the food/drink you make is either useful or (and this is just me) vendor trash  I put a couple of points into making 3 items per production run, so far, and the money adds up.  I send the blue quality food to alts for use or for when I bother to join a guild.

Blue & Purple recipes for VR levels are why you have Provisioning. You can either increase your max or your regen, which seems like a good choice for the player to make.

Upper level and Blue recipes are disgustingly good.
