As the latest entry in the Week of Enormous Patches, the WildStar forum has been updated with the latest and largest patch to be deployed during beta testing. Among the highlights are more difficult creature encounters in the world, a PvP gear balance check and a completely overhauled and revamped user interface.
Patch Highlights
Because we're still in beta, these patch notes may be unintentionally missing various changes and updates. We'll continue to update the notes as needed, so if you discover anything missing, please let us know!
A completely revamped User Interface has been introduced to the game! The UI will continue to be polished over the coming months, so please pardon our dust.
Stun Breakout Gameplay has been changed. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on this mechanic over the last few months!
PvP gear (especially at level 50) has had a balance pass done. This affects your current gear, so check the proper section below.
Runes and rune sets have had a balance pass. This affects your current gear, so check out the details below before you head back into the world!
Higher difficulty encounters and creatures have been added throughout the world. These creatures will grant larger quest credit and XP for those willing to take on the added difficulty.
Grab a cold drink and get comfortable before heading to the WildStar forum to read the detailed notes.
Comments
Now that's what we are talking about!
Wildstar gets better and better and still there are almost 2 months ahead until the official release.
Having a very good feeling about this game. Good Job guys. Keep up the good pace
So, let me get this straight...a major gripe about what was an otherwise pretty solid character creation system was the inability to adjust body types. So what does Carbine do in response to these complaints?
THEY ACTUALLY FIXED IT?!?
Seriously, is this real life?
I guess I'll be making a new Character next weekend... suh-weet!
Super excited for these notes... there is an isht ton of them! Thanks for the heads up!

-.- There's always one.
And there will be many more as we get closer to release. Be sure about this.
After reading this Huge & Excellent patch, the only he could comment was this...No hard feelings though. Everyone with his tastes.
Anyway as Devs said there are already optimizations in this patch and they actively working to be ready in the open beta.
Btw after this patch and while i have seen the ppl's suggestions in the official forums, i can say that at last there is a game that Devs Are Listening
..Cake..
There is a lot more than one . In the last beta the chat was full of people having problems . I have a decent gaming pc which plays the likes of Rift which isn't very well optimized at around 50-70 fps on highest resolution on ultra settings but it struggles to get 20-30 on Wildstar on medium . Of course it is a beta and things may ( and will have to ) improve by the time of release . But in the mean time for those having optimization problems I found this in the Wildstar forums .
https://forums.wildstar-online.com/forums/index.php?/topic/27834-solution-fps-optimization-problems/
I havn't tried it myself yet but it may help . I'm not sure what bbbb24 is trying to get at but if he is saying there are no optimization problems at present then he is wrong .
Huh? Noone has said there are no optimisation problems.. even Carbine have said they're continuously working on optimization issues.
Personally I've never noticed the slow down to fps (not saying they aren't there)... might be because of my gphx card though.
..Cake..
what terrible fps rates? i have yet to see fps fall below 60
This is the second time they've listened on character models. A few months ago some beta players complained about the ridiculous size of female breasts (seriously, they were off the hook DDDs). Carbine, in the next big patch, toned down breast sizes to something less ridiculous.
The devs ARE listening.
Gee this sounds familiar big UI update and change to a game only a couple of months before a launch... anybody see a pattern to this... 2 words 'Auto Assault'. Don't get me wrong the game looks great and is fun but the last NC Soft game that did this same thing didn't even last a year, and that's what worries me.
And if you think the patch notes are long on this update the ones for the beta rebuild in Auto Assault were only a little longer, and that's why I'm concerned. This game has a lot of potential BUT NC Soft has a habit of rushing titles to failure like every other publisher. When I see major Beta updates like this I get worried, I say hold back the dame game another month or 2 and let the devs get the stuff in game they need to get in there and properly tested before it launches. That's why games fail, and I'm not on the preorder bandwagon just yet. Been burned too many times, upside I have a nice stack of drink coasters now, lol.
Ummm, what does another game have to do with Wildstar? Patch size being similar has no bearing on how "bad" the game is doing. Isn't the point of beta to find bugs and balance issues and straighten them out before launch? I agree that NCsoft rushes games or doesn't have the best track record (GW2 I'm looking at you) but NCsoft has almost nothing to do with the game. The game has been Carbine's from the get-go and the enormity of the patch notes doesn't show that the game is in danger but that they are being true to their slogan that "the devs are listening". I'll eat my shoe for real if this game ends up as another of your drink coasters (although realistically you could use it like that anyway since you wouldn't need the disc after the intial install ^o^).
