Bots invade Hinault Farms

bakon2bakon2 Member UncommonPosts: 129

Yesterday I saw 4 or 5 bots running the same pattern. I watched them for about 10 minutes, but it only took a couple of seconds to see that they were running a program outside of ESO. I reported the botting at around 2cst. Logged off and came back 5 or so hours later. Only to see there were now 7 bots.  Just now, out of curiosity, I ran back to the farms and they original ones are there still! I saw them die then they all ended up back at the same place within 3 or 4 seconds of eachother. I hope zenimax jumps on these botters hard. Seeing then in just about every dungeon camping the boss, random places across the world. I do report them every time I observe what looks like UCMing. I hope they permaban these guys. Don't really care if anyone disagrees, just wish zenimax was more aggressive in their 'investigation' of the bots.

I wonder if most of these will go away before the first billing cycle? Or if maybe some 'gold farmers' have found away to hack game keys...

Right now the developers are just playing whack-a-mole.  So many issues and bugs that need to be addressed.  They have scheduled maintenance twice a week if that tells you anything.   Its the most graphically beautiful, functionally flawed game I have ever played.  They took the wrong approach during beta and they're paying the price now.  Its a freight train thundering down the tracks headed for a relaunch without any brakes.

...and they're running out of track and passengers are jumping off the train so fast it looks like a Wild West movie...

Today every public dungeon I went into had bots camping the boss and what with all the gold seller spamming bots as well it is just about making the game unpleasant if not unplayable, If Bethesda et al don't come down hard on these morons then they will manage to kill the game off before it is even started. I am having to consider if (at the moment) I really want to play this game.

It appears that Zenimax' inexperience in running an MMO is starting to show.... between the bugs, the exploits/bans, the billing "irregularities" and the bot problem, this is not looking like a good launch, at all.

You wont see that because ESO is a very good launch for an MMO. [mod edit]

You wont see that because ESO is a very good launch for an MMO. Sounds like you are inexperienced with MMOs.

I do not know about the launch but i know that i cannot complete quests because bots are killing bosses before I get close enough to tap them. Not mentioning the duping fest that was going on from the very beginning of the game. Every mmo has issues at the beginning but this is a whole new level.

ESO is absolutely NOT a good launch, even with the standard precedent in mind over the last decade.  Sure, there are some that were worse, but there were many that were better.  Even SWTOR launched way better, technically.  I am totally not hatin' but the evidence is quite clear at this point.  It's getting uggggly.  I sincerely hope Zenimax can turn it around on a miraculous level and gain back customer confidence... soon.

Same what i remeber from gw2 bottrains...

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

Ya I was in the Ondil public dungeon last night there was about 30 bots in there, all on top of each other. Looked like Johnny Cage's shadow kick every time the moved to an enemy spawn.

Zenimax should be able to implement something along the lines of what Respawn has done in Titanfall. Create phases into which they put all bot accounts - if they are totally automated then they may not even realise! And set the chat rules so that they can only communicate / interact with  "bot" phases.

Then all the bots can fall over each other and spam each other into oblivion - and when no one buys any gold / items they may decide its not worth it and give up. Ban them and they will - most likely - just come back.
