In a world where games like SWTOR, Rift and GW2 can get a 9 or 10 out 10 but ESO gets a 7 something is very very wrong.  Either the scores on those older games are way to high or ESO is way to low because there is no way it ranks lower than all those games that pulled 9's and higher.

I'm not saying ESO deserves a 9/10 but neither does any of it's older peers either and put into perspective it's score is way to low compared to those past benchmark scores.

At the very least it should rank higher than SWTOR since it has the same flaws questing wise but does story telling in the open world with phasing a lot better and the PVP is miles above anything SWTOR ever even dreamed of.

Granted his review is thorough and somewhat accurate, it's totally biased when take into account the amount of content he avoided and flew over in an effort to race to the "End-Game".

Sad when dev's spend years building a world of stories, sights and adventures to be had. Hand crafting the world with hidden gems and jokes and lore. Then right out the gate a small percentage of the playerbase stand in 1 spot grinding the same mob over and over to powerlevel to vet10 and skip all the content so they can get to "end-game" in a month then bitch they are bored.

Meanwhile the rest of us are still enjoying the game.

But ... If Im enjoying the game and generally have a good time, why do I care about people bitc*ing about everything ?

There is no perfect game that will apeal to everyone. You can only hope enough people will like to for you to make profit. Others will go out of their way and do what ever they can to tell you game is sh*t, because they say it is.

"So what does this mean? Is it a good game? Well it comes down to what type of gamer you are. Are you the MMO player? Then you’ll probably really like this game. But if you’re the avid TES fan, you’re most likely going to be disappointed."

    Kinda says it all really.

He compares the game based on 2 sides. he says it fails as an Elder Scrolls game, then he says it's not bad as an MMO.  He talks about the bugs and how it's made for one of the worst gaming experiences in his history but then goes on to give his final verdict under the assumption the bugs are fixed. I suppose it's his review and he's allowed to do that, but It's my impression and I'm allowed to question it. Well, anyway, Moving on in his review. So, he's saying it's a decent MMO, yet he's VR10 in the 1st month and already discussing whether or not he's going to re sub and that they'd better get that 1st patch out or it''' be another SWTOR.  How's that painting a picture of a successful MMO?

I have no comment on the Elder Scrolls side of his critique.

Then Greenshade happened. (...) Any progression you could actually get done in the zone would be wiped clean over and over again.

Wow. I'll gladly grant there were bugs in other MMOs at launch. Same bugs prevented progression in particular quests. But getting your toon rolled back repeatedly? Gratz to everyone who stuck it out through that to enjoy your grind from V1 to V10.

Also, zergs to clear a zone to level up faster? :(

Yes it is stupid but  he is pandering to a certain segment of the playerbase who will say right on to his rant.
