"Please make a 1000 Dollar option for founders pack, because thats the money i use everday to clean my ass- Yes i got a rich booty."
Obviously, it is a provocation but it saddens me that many mmos taking this route now.
Beta players shoult be payed like in the old days to test a game, not around. Paying for something that is not finished yet. doing the work for them to find bugs is the dirtiest thing a company can do.
I could afford it too without hesitation, but i would never ever support such shabby business tactics.
*Edit: by the way, calling it FOUNDERS pack- when the game has been founded years ago is also very daring.

If you spend your booty cleaning money you will be smelly.
Still, Trion would gladly take it.
dear smelly ass customer, please refrain from moving your ass cleaning budget into any other activity and patiently wait for the game to be officially released. that way you can benefit in many things:
-your ass won't smell bad anymore.
-you will stop raging about the game.
-you will refrain from creating this type of threads.
-you will launch a new brand of jeans where you cut a piece behind to let your ass stick out since it will be so shiny with the treatment.
-the time you waste on this forum will be better invested fapping on adult websites.
I really laughed out loud at this , thanks for improving my day !
you forgot to add in your name the e--> ragegnir
By the way im really *stink"rich, so i can afford it.
Pre-ordering a free game does not make sense.
HELP!
Don't make sense to me either , but I just bought it for £109 Gbp !
I think all this triple digit cost founder pack BS that has been happening lately is because of Kickstarter. Don't get me wrong, I love kickstarter it helps projects that would have never happened get rolling.
But it also showed established game studios that ALREADY HAVE FUNDING that gamers are willing to spend lots of money to get the play the game sooner...even if it's unfinished. Personally, I hate this crap.
These games are ALREADY funded. It's not like you are "founding" anything. They are just charging an exorbitant amount of money to ALPHA-test their game.
Are you team Azeroth, team Tyria, or team Jacob?
Your first mistake is assuming that bugs are being found with and great regularity during betas. I remember the time when betas were actually effective, but that time is long gone. Unfortunately, people are more interested in participating in betas for only a few reasons, as a "taste test", to figure out how to quickly advance at launch, find exploits in the game (and not report them), and just tell people that they're in a beta (which also used to be waaaaaay cooler than it is now).
Take a look at ESO as a great example, 5 or 10 million players during beta and a TON of exploits at launch. TONS of things that, ZOS admits, were not reported during beta.
So why shouldn't they capitalize on this? The developer will need to do all the testing work themselves anyway, right? So, really, alpha a beta access appeals only to those people who are looking to get an advantage for launch, unless there are value adds that make it worth buying. In the case of AA, they give you in-game currency plus a mount, plus the highest tier allows you to upload your own crest into the game. That's actually a pretty cool feature. Not $150 cool, for me anyway, but it will have value for some people.
Personally, I like to see the no-brainer packages. Firefall had a $20 package that basically got you $20 in-game currency and a permanent XP boost. That's pretty awesome for $20. They also had a $100 package that offered $120 in-game currency, a mount, 15% permanent XP boost, 10% permanent boost for your squad (guild), plus a couple other in-game items. There should never be a question of the value of what is being sold. Shoot, just give people in-game currency equivalent to their purchase! Really, is it going to COST you anything? Hell no!
So while there might be some value with the AA packages, it's not a no-brainer IMO.

You have no one but the players to blame for the current state of MMORPGS and its payment models. Trion and every other Game Co has to follow trends to stay competitive and make money. Talk to all those FTPers aka "freeloaders" as to why they need to take this current payment model route.
I honestly don`t see an issue with it. Don`t like it then don`t buy it. if you love the game (or the idea) they buy in and play. If you`re poor well then you are SoL. I bought the 50$ pack because idc for alpha or beta just to have my stuff deleted.
So yeah the way i see it is they spent 150$ to have their stuff deleted. If i were to buy the 150$ pack it would be purely for the other bonuses.
I wonder if those players even realize that they burn out themself with those packages before the game even starts?
The next thing they do is come to forums and cry how easy -and whatever ells they found as bad- the game became after xxxx hours. And basicly if your not into sims type gameplay- there is apparently nothing much to do in Archage
