far far far from a beta...
Today was my first try as a beta user. This game is very very very far from being close to a beta : login issues, UI frozen, reminds me of wow in the beginning. Yet another mmo... Spent about 45 minutes just for nothing. Wrong use of my time. I'll try again someday... maybe...

Actually, I have played 4 betas and this one is the worst by far. So much crashes and freezes that I just unistall it and decide to never play again.
If the problems were that many this weekends then it was the best BETA so far. Unfortunatly you and about 95% of "beta testers" these Days did the same thing, not at all what you are suppose to, which is keep at it and report the issues.
You see beta testing isn't for you to decide if you wanna play the game or not. But you wont ever get that.
Nope. Because I didn't like the game and was trying to like it for 4 time. I give up, why would I continue to do anything with that game? Normal I will continue to search what I was looking for... a game that I like.

On a serious note, I experienced a lot of lag even on the lowest settings, but mostly in the Destiny start area (Dominion side). I don't know how it could have been due to loads of other players since, for a beta, the place seemed pretty damn dead. Otherwise, I have a hard time believing this was the WORST beta. Other than a few bugs, things seemed to run ok. Am I interested in buying the game when it's released? Well that's another story.

Played it for hours yesterday, and had the total opposite experience!
Me and my buddy both agree on that this game seem very polished and ready for release.
And we both feel that Wildstar has huge potiental

I agree with both. Did not play the previous beta, but when I did it it actually was pretty polished and I think it might attract a decent following as well. However did not like it as much myself.

My first beta with Wildstar. The game ran decently enough. It didn't fail gracefully when my ISP hiccuped (client would hang with big red letters, wouldn't allow me to reconnect or quit or do much of anything), it auto-assigned me to a full server on startup/character creation - a few other issues like this just mostly show that it lacked a bit of technical polish more than it had any glaring issues.
Game ran well, some FPS bouncing when it got busy, but nothing as bad as I have seen in other games, either Beta or Release.
All in all, I didn't get too far in, but the gameplay wasn't so much my style. I submitted my beta bug reports like a good beta tester, and I'll just keep my eye on it from afar and see if it develops into anything I may find of more interest.

What's really funny is that even with the issues this weekend... it's still better than ESO at launch. (IMO) I've found very few broken quests, none of which held my progress, nor do I fall through the earth randomly or have to use /reloadui or /stuck a bunch.
It's quite amazing. Let them get this crap out of the way. (and with the patch notes for last week and this week, Wildstar is SERIOUSLY debugging stuff) And even though I'm IN beta, I'm really just logging in for my gifts for launch. I don't want to play and ruin the gameplay.
Now my pc is old (made in 08) and after it loads up (takes a bit) it runs ok. I can't blame the game since my pc is ancient. Running a E8400 and 4830 radeon at 1920 res.

I have played the beta a view times cant anymore not cause of issues cause the game is so average.
if they did not have a sub. maybe I would have bought it but its like when they developed the game they did not think ahead its an old boring concept.
hope this is the last theme park mmo and people can see whats wrong with the pure theme park idea.
you just quest and see others questing and look we only got 4 very hard dungeons for you-what crap!

How do you think bugs come into being? Because there is an obscure condition that allows it to happen that usually doesn't happen in most cases. ie bugs usually happen to the minority.
Ignoring problems because it doesn't happen to you wont fix these issues, and hiding there existence is detrimental to the pursuit Solid running game.

i ran into a few bugs/annoyances
low fps due to poor optimized for my card, UI crashes and sticking, and one of the challenges stop working half way through.
all of which i will assume should be fixed by launch.
still on the fence though about buying
its either generic boring(dominion) or acid trip(exile) as far as faction goes, but then again i like the class customization and combat ALOT.
Man if you don't like really good mmo don't play them. It is nothing wrong with game. Amazing duongeons, adventurs and good pvp. I will pay the sub like a lot of ppl will do, because it deserve this sub nd developers deseve it for amazing work they did creating and now fixing this game. If you don't like content like that please go and play this crap ESO or some other "Something now but so far for being anything good games". Btw Wildstar is nothing like wow or other games. He is a great hybrid of all those average games (Aion, WoW, GW2). All those game are crap and they are really really bad games if you play them for long time, Wildstar isn't. This game is the best mmo ever and you just should play it longer then 30 minuts.
And btw i don't care if this game have any issuse. I report them and i know it will be repair really fast and even with those bugs (reaally serious bugs like when we could change any thing in skill bar of hour XD) is better then any other game.
I think the OP's problem is that he is playing on his same rig built 11+ years ago as well lol. I guess we shouldn't be too hard, maybe he woke from a coma?
