New PC - Need first game to be epic.

Hey. I've recently purchased a new gaming rig and the thing is a monster, which is due to be delivered today at some point. 16GB ram, top end GFX card etc etc.

Now to my point: I want to reap all the benefits from this with a game that is worthy of my lovely gaming rig. I know the MMO market is pretty awful at the moment with the amount WoW themepark copies running about.

I actually purchased the PC for EOS originally, but I've checked reviews on EOS and the game is getting slaughtered. To be fair if the reviews are legit and not just being raged on by haters then granted the negativity is well placed. I'm still on the fence with this one, so if someone can help me jump over it then give it your best shot.

FFXIV: played this for ps3 and the hugely upgraded ps4 version. Not actually a fan of the whole gear grind with nothing else to do scenario. Sure you can craft, but it's pointless and has 0 benefits. 90% of your time is in a que for dungeon finder while standing about town.

GW2: Tried this for my current PC and the old horse could barely keep up with it, but it sure did give it it's best shot. During my time on it I did have fun though.

Those are currently the only ones on my radar, so help me expand my search.

If anyone has any other suggestions for me then I'd hugely appreciate it. I'd hate to go the boring route and play Skyrim or BF4 for the grand opening gaming ceremony. PvP, PvE, crafting that actually means something and the social aspects of a general MMO would be a step in the right direction.

Try GW2 and ESO, I personally like their RvR systems alot. Atleast for a while ;)

GW2 will be pure eyecandy, gaming excellence, 10+/10, and if you're into PvE it will last a long long time. And PvP is amazing... it's just the best.

The free 'World of tanks' will probably look nice and be fun to play.

There are HD models for tanks from patch 9.0, but only a few have them atm (higher poly and better shading/textures).

Start with steam and single player games IMO.  There are lots of good ones out there.  The Mass Effect Trilogy, Skyrim, Dragon Age, Dark Souls, Tomb Raider, Saints Row, LA Noire, and many others.

It seems the better the graphics the worse the game is when it comes to MMO's so really can't suggest anything. The D3 expansion is surprisingly good considering how terrible the game was beforehand. Maybe CoD Ghosts? I dunno

Rift , GW2, WoW, World of Tanks, Planetside 2, Minecraft, Buy Wildstar and get it on the beta weekend, Neverwinter, DayZ, and SWTOR

Also since it's a new rig - Dark Souls 2 - best time to play is now.

Warframe and World of Tanks, don't forget planetside 2, all of them in maximum eye candy, oh, try war of the roses in maximum eye candy as well, but be careful of the electricity bills, path of exile ain't a bad choice as well. i sure am jealous of those gaming rigs, do want to try playing planetside 2 in 120fps+
