Ahh..my C64. So many great times. More so even than the Atari 2600. I'd almost given up for a bit on consoles until the NES and games like The Legend of Zelda and Metroid. I had my C64 until the late 90's when it was stolen along with all my classic games.
just became 46 in april. I played Dark of camelot, conan, champions online, world of warcraft (since TBC). Now i am in diablo III Ros. I dropped Wow for a while now. I also play some Marvel superheroes
Turn 59 next month. Been playing computer games since I bought my Apple II way back when. Have owned about every gaming system out there but never vector too far from my gaming PC. Have played with others that are at or near 70. Gaming is NOT nor never should be just for the so-called young. It is for the young at heart.
52 and hoping for a decent MMO to come out played WOW from Vanilla till Cata GW2 for a while aand tried most of the other so called AAA mmo's but none caught me hope some developer breaks the themepark model with a good sandbox game.
I just joined the Steam group that Greyhawk made - looking forward to talking to you all. I haven't gamed in about 8 months (busy at work) but I'm looking forward to building my new gaming rig and grabbing the new WoW expansion later this year. Guys (and older ladies?) we need a WoW guild. Potential name: Old Farts of Azeroth.
I am 47 and I have been a gamer since Pong! and Dungeons and Dragons in the 70's.
I even have a Youtube channel as the "Vintage Gamer" where I talk about all aspects of gaming and even showcase items from my collection of gaming relics.

Lets hope so , otherwise us old gits may be small in number indeed !
I know that for some of us older folks, there is a fear of being stigmatized as people who should have "outgrown" gaming.
I have a brother-in-law that says I am too old to spend time gaming and that I should spend my time on stuff that "matters". This is coming from a guy who spends 1000's of dollars and countless hours working on his antique cars. I asked him what the difference is between his hobby and mine and his response was, "cars are for adults, games are for kids".
To each their own I guess.
I will be gaming until the day I die.
Funny, I got something that from a guy at work. Basically giving me grief for PC gaming, and he still plays with toy trains. In his mind its a more mature hobby.
Pfft.

i have been gaming since the days of the C64,Amiga2000,and more i'm now 59 soon to be 60 it helps me keep my mind active, better than sitting at home looking through the windows all day
HAH! Me am an old bunny(how old I'm not going to say!..grin) But the way me figure it...I'll stop gaming when dey pry me mouse fro me cold dead paws!!or controller..or Ocuus Rift..whatever they usin then! Been playin a looong time Have no intention of stoppin anytime soon! ==(:*D
Nice to meet you all. 41 here. Like most, been gaming since it was invented. Lost interest in consoles around 2007/8. Just wasnt the same anymore. But love MMORPGs and play them exclusively now. ArcheAge is a phenomenal game. Exactly what I was looking for in an MMO
Well I,m 71 and probably playing my last mmo Teso. Most likely will take me a couple of years to level to max.
Other games that I enjoyed greatly were EVE online and Vanguard Saga of heros. Still have 2 maxed level chars on the vanguard server.
The reason I play mmos is because it is inter active and makes your brain work unlike tv which is passive. To keep in shape I play golf although only half the year cause where I live it is dark and cold 24/7 the other half.
Enjoying Teso so far and now they appear to begin to take some of the real game breaking stuff like bots under serious consideration

Don't forget about the GEOS operating system for the C-64!!
OMG! GEOS! The first GUI that I got my hands on... Jeez man... THAT was ahead of its time and awesome. I hate to say it but I still have my full setup (took me two years of Christmas's and birthdays to get it all) including a bunch of the 'original' floppy disks, all packed away in a couple of trunks.

Let's party like it is 1863!
I can think of nothing more awesome than being retired and having the time to beat the snotshit out of everyone online!
And getting paid (pension) to do it!
I hope the zombie appoc doesn't happen before I get there!
I got your Deliverance!
Where's my banjo?!!
+1 for naming yourself after the best setting in AD&D, and using a picture out of the old school DMG.
Wait that might be from the PHB, I may have to dig out my old books.
Oh and 43 this year.

Thought I was old at 38 on these boards. Started on a VIC-20 and moved to a Commodore 64. Glad to see someone who appreciates it all.
Same I'm 37 and thought I was old in here I guess I'm just a pup

My opinion
I'm 55 years old and I'll most likely play until they carry me out toes first.
My Mother plays D3 and some other games as well and she's 85.
Ratero.
I wonder what is the ratio of male to female for gamers at or above the age 40?
Also i am only 24 years of age, but it is nice to speak with and get to know a wide range of people.
