Whats something both (you) "ESO Fans" and "Those that are disappointed in ESO after playing it" have

Whats something both (you) "ESO Fans" and "Those that are disappointed in ESO after playing it" have in common?

I give you a second to think it through........................

Second is up.

Both sides may be polar opposite sides when it comes to the enjoyment of the game,

but BOTH sides have one thing in common.

THEY BOTH WANT TO SEE ESO BECOME A "GOOD", IF NOT GREAT, GAME!!

Think about it for a moment.

The Fans love the game right. So of course they want to see the game get better.

But the people who are disappointed with ESO also had to have had some level of interest in the game in order to be willing to buy the game right. They just didnt enjoy the finished product.

Nothing wrong with that.

So how about instead of fighting each other on the forum and social media, you both work together to make ESO a better game.

For starters. I would like to address the fan.

I can understand the frustration in seeing criticism of a game you like. aka ESO.
But you are going to have to realize that most of the disappointed ESO players likely aslo want another smash hit blockbuster MMO out of ESO as well.

You fans want ESO to improve, so how about you start by ASKING NICELY for the Disappointed Players to sub a bit longer to give developers a bit more resources to improve the game.

And in return, you actually support the issues that the Disappointed Players have regarding the game, on the forums and social media, so developers know what to fix.

in the outcome of this, the community would have less fighting between Fans and Disappointed Gamers,

And actually more (if not faster) progress in improving the game.

More Disappointed Gamers would likely be willing to sub a bit longer ( think of it as a donation) to a lower quality game to improve with that money, if they were respected and not attacked, and

So how about both sides come together for once on a common goal of getting more better MMOs on the market for us all to play?

I'm not interested in a 'smash hit blockbuster.'

I'm interested in having a game that I enjoy playing remain viable enough for the company to continue supporting it without warping it into something I *don't * enjoy playing.

That's going to depend on what the issues are.  Bug fixes?  Absolutely, 100%.  I'll even take their word on the existence of bugs that I have not personally encountered.

    You're fighting against human nature.

Also, I can't really support 'improvements' that make the game less enjoyable for me.  Watching a game enjoy playing morph into something I don't like is not really any better than watching it shut down.

For this "plan" to work you have to assume capability.

Capability of the ESO team to meet a disappointed person's standards of what they feel a good game should be.

I think that is a large assumption.

Zenimax obviously has a vision for their game that just isn't in line with what many players want from a game.  It would probably be better for those who are in sync with that vision to stay and everyone else to just move along.

Let me make a joke about this:

both are retards, just one realized it sooner as the other.

I agree, now let us all be crazy enough to compromise with each other.   I'll give you free to play if we get to keep subs.  I'll give you...   not sure there is anything else people dislike this game for.

Bugs, goldseller bans, exploiter, bot, chest trolls.   All stuff that is going to be done by Zenimax in their next patch.

Dungeon and PVP xp is going to be fixed so you can level it up eventually also.  They just have to put in a fix to stop exploits.

Well that just about covers it, I agree with you.

Pretty much sums up how I feel.  I wanted it to be a great Elder Scrolls game but sadly it is a stale Themepark MMO.  Something I never thought the series was about.  I still hold out hope it will get better.

Sandbox means open world, non-linear gaming PERIOD!

Subscription Gaming, especially MMO gaming is a Cash grab bigger then the most P2W cash shop!

Bring Back Exploration and lengthy progression times. RPG's have always been about the Journey not the destination!!!

It's a nice thought, but this title goes in so many directions away from what I want in a MMORPG, through design choices that won't likely be changed that its better if I just move on to something else and let those who like how the game currently is work with the Devs to improve on that design.

You can't code a game to please all players, you have to pick a niche and serve it well.

I dont believe people are just suddenly going to do anything by some forum plan, that's just the reality. When a person is dissapointed with the game a lot of them will make their "I'm special and I will quit this game post" and that's just how it is. Also at that point the fans will come to defend the game and tell how no one cares that the disappointed player is leaving. Then comes other people who are leaving, to agree and defend the OP, ofcourse haters will rally to his cause too so they can bash the game and tell how shit it is in detail without even playing it.

At least on this forum, there's no way in hell anyone can change that. There's a few things that will happen which is out of our hands. First of all, time will pass and the drama moves into the next game. Also, Zenimax keeps updating the game and adding things, if they do it right they will get a boost and some positive feedback (minus the true haters) and if they show laziness and not enough efficiency, the game will just wither away and into F2P at rapid pace (not saying it will not go F2P regardless, but how this happens can be more dramatic or less, if it happens).

Ps. I wouldnt be writing this unless "the european megaserver is down for maintenance" for a THIRD day in a row. I understand that they need the maintenance if they need it, and they should do it too, rather than allow some laggy shitty experience, but they should NOT ask me to pay monthly for this. Sensible thing would be to turn off the monthly fee until the game works properly.

If I read the "goodbye, cruel world" posts sympathetically it frequently seems as if they simply want a different game.  I see a lot of demands for features in other MMOs or fantasies about some dreamy pure sandbox nirvana.  If I read them unsympathetically I only need to note that the hostile and vocal people are frequently those who don't play the game and who have latched onto a hobby of needling the "fanbois" for fun.

So I don't think that we all want the same thing; for example, I completely refuse to play any micro-transaction based (or so-called free to play) game.  I hate it in principle, I don't like the incentives that it gives designers, and I won't support it.

Others like these; fine.  I'm not going to campaign against such games in their forums, but not all games have to be designed for them.
