Enjoying my time

I am one of those people that threw down $150 dollars to play a free game, and so far it has been worth it.

the combat of the game is very smooth, and messing around with your classes adds some great depth to the game.  I have tried about half of the classes and they all feel distinct.  They let you know what classes are designed to work together, but you are free to make what you want.  Do you want a shield using, fireball casting healer?  go for it.  Sure this won't appeal to the min/max crowd, but those looking for something different will be able to find it.

The crafting is deep, and the farming is a time sink and a half.  At least at the earlier levels you don't find many resources in the wild, so if you want wood you will have to plant a tree and wait for it to mature, then chop it down.  If you want plants for cooking or alchemy you will have to grow those too.  Same with things like meat and leather, you will have to place the animal on your farm and wait for it to mature.

I haven't gotten a chance to check out the PvP yet, which is what I am most excited about, but I have been enjoying the game a lot.

the missing link in a chain of destruction.

Good to hear. While I can't drop $150, I am excitedly waiting and watching how everything turns out.
