Some General Questions For Some GOG Games (Latest UbiSoft Deal)

Just got an e-mail from GOG.com, my favorite old school game marketplace. GOG.com UbiSoft Sale PC games with a few I have questions about.

1) Assassin's Creed 1: Director's Cut: $7.99
I have this one for my X-Box 360, but have not gotten into it, due to my total lack of controller skills :) Is it fairly similar to the X-Box game experience?

2) Panzer General 2: $3.99
How similar to the board game is this? Is it a good turn based strategy game?

3) Panzer General 3D: $3.99
As above :)

I liked the idea behind Assassin's Creed, but just am not a good console player. With Panzer General, I enjoy board games a lot. Is it playable, graphics-wise?

Any thoughts?

Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.

I haven't played the Panzer General games, I have heard good things, but I don't know personally.

As far as AC1 on PC goes, I feel like the game actually plays better on PC than on consoles, but I'm biased as I very rarely play on consoles. I feel like any game is going to be smoother and better with a mouse and keyboard, but I can tell you I thoroughly enjoyed AC1 on PC myself.

    Currently Playing: ESO and FFXIV
    Have played: You name it
If you mention rose tinted glasses, you better be referring to Mitch Hedberg.

Thanks! AC1, I am leaning towards getting it. The things I disliked were all console based, so on the PC, they will hopefully be resolved :)
