I played World of Warcraft for 12 years, I loved the game so much. I maxed out two mages and got a priest to 52 and I level countless other alts. I have done all the end game and slain bowser. I really liked the game but got bored of it after seeing everything to see even the hidden zones. I decided to look for another MMO, I tryed Final Fantasy. I loved the game 1-10 but when it came to go to Valkrum Dunes I began to distaste it. I waited three hours for a group in the Valkrum Dunes at a LAN party. I became so infuriated I walked home in the cold at 2:34 AM for about two miles and left my computer there. Final Fantasy would be good if there was something I could do in the mean time of waiting for a group. I had to sit there seeking party the whole time in the designated zone though. By the time I got a party we wiped on the first pull. What I want in an MMORPG is freedom. I really like the fast paced action of World of Warcraft. An MMORPG based around a good community and PvP would be nice. Please do not suggest any NC Soft games because I distaste them all. I dunno what to do I am going insane. Two games that look appealing are Vanguard and Darkfall.

How did you
It's a joke not many people catch.
hehe:P
Ive played wow for more then year now not as long as you do:p
And im already bored to death with it, 5 lvl60 and login today and logout after 5min im done with wow.
Was fun first 6 months but when BG introduce and the endless grinding instance i could not manage another 7months to play it again it killed outdoor pvp and repeating over and over again same instance is not my mmorpg.
WoW is for kids its easy and fps style BG they love it.
And to many gold farmers so now i wait for other mmo that have superior pvp with risk and more for hardcore.
And wait for elderscroll OBLIVIAN!!!!
Hope to build full AMD system RYZEN/VEGA/AM4!!!
MB:Asus V De Luxe z77
CPU:Intell Icore7 3770k
GPU: AMD Fury X(waiting for BIG VEGA 10 or 11 HBM2?(bit unclear now))

PSU:Corsair AX1200i
OS:Windows 10 64bit
Bottom line is that WoW is a very nice game but it doesn't have much longevity for the dedicated player. Personally I hate the graphics so I never managed to even get into it as much as some have. I found the game very shallow and boring (my opinion only).
As to being bored with my MMO? No, I have never been bored in DAOC. Even when I left it to go to the SWG Beta I wasn't "bored" with it. I just liked SWG Beta more It *was* *back then* exactly the kind of game I love. Once they NGE'd it I went back to DAOC and have not regretted it for a moment. I've been back for 3 months now and am very happy and having a ton of fun.

DAOC was my first MMO I loved it. I think as a noob it is too late to go back to that game.
You'd probably like Roma Victor. I haven't been following it very closely but they have a commercial test going which I think anyone can get into.
It's supposed to be ready in spring.

Looking forward (cautiously) to: Age of Conan, Dark Solstice, Armada Online.
Will soon try: Guild Wars
Overall: Amazed and bewhildered at the current sad state of the artform of gaming.
Sorry to do a mini Hijack...
But there ya go... just what i was saying in the PC Gamer stops taking advertising from farmers thread.
The fault lies with Blizzard for not doing a damn thing to stop farmers..
PC Gamer are just loooohoooohooooosers. If they had any sense they would take as much money of these farming maggots as possible.

Noooo, I just started playing DAoC for the first time. I left WoW when I started playing Camelot. I'm totally new and I am having the most fun of any game I've ever played. It's not too late to go back at all. Give it another shot.
=============================
It all seems so stupid
It makes me want to give up
But why should I give up
When it all seems so stupid
I really couldn't even come to imagine DAOC is even near its peak anymore and that is really going downhill , it was years ago when I played I was a little kid then, is the game solo friendly?
I got bored of FFXI pretty quickly, well...... a few months down the line.
Maybe you should wait for RFOnline, it looks pretty awesome and is releasing soon.

Not true at all. Especially if you go back to a 'classic' server. Lots of lower level folks. The battlegrounds are packed at every level (except the 25-29 and 30-34 BG's for some odd reason). But 1-4, 5-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24 and the 35+ BG's all are swarming with players. And the Frontiers, as always, are hopping. On a 'normal' (TOA Enabled) Server there's more of a gap with very few players in the 1-20 range but 20+ there are lots.
Not advocating that you come back if you don't want to but if all that's keeping you from going back is fear that it's too late to start as a new player you're sorely mistaken. I just rolled all new toons 3 months ago on a classic server and I've had no problems. The existance of BG's all the way to 50 now also means that when you hit the frontiers you'll be around RR4 or so if you play in the BG's regularly. The 35-39 BG will get you to RR2L7 before forcing you on. I think the highest BG lets you get to like RR3L7 but not positive on the exact rank. So when you get to the frontiers you'll be competitive even with older players.
The PVE game has gotten alot better as well. Tons of things to do in it.
DAOC is the most well balanced MMORPG I have played ever. I prefer an open skill system but since there isn't a good one available DAOC is my #1 choice in MMORPG's right now.

I had but hadn't cancelled my station pass. I was monkeying around in EQ2 and PlanetSide waiting to see what Mustafar would do before coming back to SWG, as you well know from my posts in the forums Obra. Glad I did too because I didn't get screwed by the "Buy this new expansion.. OH WAIT!!! We're changing the game 2 days later!" bait and switch.
But I hadn't cancelled my AAP because I was still holding out hope that things would get better (and they looked like they were) till NGE came and ruined the entire skill system the game was based on But lets not hijack this thread with any NGE arguements. You like it, that's great. I don't. I don't like the combat system they went with in NGE, I don't like the level grind they implemented in NGE and I don't like that they nuked 20+ professions (yeah they "merged" them, I know... that's just another way of saying that those professions no longer exist). You like NGE, happy for ya, go play it and stop trolling.

Very. I have solod no less than 12 toons up into the 30's in the past 2 months. It's VERY solo friendly now. And the level grind (as you can see by how many I hit 30 with)has been radically reduced. I'd say a casual player could hit 50 in about 2-3 months tops playing only 1-2 hours a night.
Graphics are on par with the best stuff out there too with the new catacombs engine. The graphics are very sweet now. I was flat out stunned when I went back to DAOC and saw how good the graphics are now.
