So, can anyone tell me how the endgame PVP is in ESO? I played the beta and liked it and have been following the game since then, but I would like some opinions on how the endgame PVP is. Is it fun? Is it anything like DAoC?
Just trying to decide if this is worth a buy right now or if I should wait until it comes out on the PS4.

Technically PvP in ESO isn't considered "End Game" because you can compete level 10 and up. (no battlegrounds)
To answer your question regarding if it's like DaoC... it's not. Sure, it has it's similarities but there isn't any real realm pride due to the game design. ESO has pvp skills and abilities but it's not as elaborate as realm rank abilities and you really can't make a name for yourself with the way the game is set up.
The real question is do you need it to be exactly like DaoC? ... or can you enjoy the game as Elder Scrolls Online?
I think the pvp has some potential however I would wait and see if they fix some of their huge mistakes. Which are not being able to gain levels or xp through pvp, technically you can but it would take years to get to max level. The population is too spread out , on the NA server anyways so might be different on EU. They made too many pvp servers and made it really easy to transfer so this has created large amounts of people leaving servers when their side is losing. Personally I am going to give them one month and if they don’t fix these problems then im leaving.
RvR is good on a "BG" level, I mean I like playing an hour or two sometimes, but I don't feel like spending 2 nights a week doing that.
No faction pride, no impact on the world/PvE, no asymetrical gameplay, copy/pasted keeps & forts. I feel like it's just an "opt-in" big BG.
Called this in beta. I'm regretting my decision to buy this game at this juncture now. I liked the story and quests but they get repeitive after awhile and people have started to quit in droves to go back to whatever game they were playing initially. At least the only reason I bought the game was for the Physical CE swag so I dont feel like I completely wasted money
Its almost as if GW2 has more realm pride now than ESO since you can't campeign hop as easily in GW2 as you can in ESO anymore.

I'm certainly not regretting the decision to buy ESO. There are generic quests but there are still those who aren't. And every MMO has repetitive quests... everyone. And for people quiting in droves, after each release tehre are eople who at the end of month do not like the bought game so they quit, it is always the same. So saying "people leave in droves" is really not a valid point.
But, to agree, I see PvP need more work, no leaving the campaign would be right move once joined.
I don't play most MMOs. I bought this one because I actually enjoyed the inital story arc the game had, but after saving 15710580 souls from being used in pretty much the same way with pretty much NO consquence for being "evil" I see that all that writing, which for an MMO is decent, was wasted. Its like they did private instancing for nothing.
But what really is disappointing is how the community on the whole approaches PvP.

Problems? Unbalanced skills that are realistically broken in vampire line and sword/board line for example.
Ebonheart and Ald dom are working together on arials bow t keep flip so that certain guilds can get multple guldies with emperor skill line.
Lots of issues really that you will have to ignore or you will become very frustrated with pvp.
