Okay, i came across this the other day and been wondering whether or not to order it, i remember hearing some good things about this in the past and got really excited and now i am debating whether or not to preorder. Could anyone answer a few questions about this game who knows more about it so i can make a good decision?
1: How is the combat system, after spending a year playing WoW, i demand quite a lot from the way you do combat as i was really spoiled with WoW.
2: How is the pvp in this game?
3: Any other diversities such as a complex crafting system?
4: Any other useful information to persuade me to getting this game?
Also lastly, i checked what i presume to be the official English site (the codemasters one) and have to say that i was slightly concerned with the amount of work done on the website, they don't have a features section nor any sections which really tell you about what the game is really like ingame. I hope that they are going to improve on this as it's discouraging to know a publisher doesn't really care about their games.

Yea i was going to ask the same things since i just saw the preorder copy on the EB games website.
You can google the game/info on game. If you look there is some stuff there
For a small snipet of combat their are videos about.
Unless other people know stuff, id wait for the beta then bump...or reposti
As said its early and there isn't a lot of official info about.
However from what I've seen, the essential mechanics of the game appear to be very similar to most other mmorpgs. In other words its just more of what is already out there, it just looks different. At this point I'd say this game won't even be up to par with WoW let alone surpassing it. RF so far reminds me very much of Lineage 2 but mixed with daoc.
The only reason why people are drawn to this game is the fancy grpahics and videos. Game mechanics wise there doesn't appear to be anything overly interesting here.
I, for one, am not drawn to the game soley based upon the game's visual appeal; at this point in time I'm still favoring Lineage ][s character models over RF Onlines. What's captured my interest with this game is the RvRvR concept and the interesting blend of sci-fi and fantasy.
This game definitely has potential, but I don't think it's even on par with World of Warcraft just yet. WoW was greatly anticipated and had a foundation of loyal Blizzard fans eagerly awaiting its release. We'll have to wait until Codemasters releases RF Online to see just how well it stacks up against the major players.
