"I used to think the worst thing in life was to be all alone. It's not. The worst thing in life is to end up with people who make you feel all alone." Robin Williams
"How could you believe that the life within the seed That grew arms that reached And a heart that beat. And lips that smiled And eyes that cried. Could ever die?"
"How could you believe that the life within the seed That grew arms that reached And a heart that beat. And lips that smiled And eyes that cried. Could ever die?"
Yes to Yes!
Afterimage by Rush comes to mind. A very cerebral perspective on the whole thing.

Nice pick. It's funny. I must have heard and sang that song hundreds of times. Drummed it out on the steering wheel of a Gremlin with my best friend and on countless dashes since, and never really thought about the lyrics. Listening to it now though it reminds me of my father (no longer with us) and how, in spite of thinking for the longest time that we were so different, I now find that we really weren't. I was just too young to understand half the crap he was saying all the time.
In other words, I now "feel the way he would" about a lot of things, which when coupled with 50% of my DNA gives him an almost nuclear halflife in spite of his original copy no longer being available. An Afterimage.
Rush is baddass
(Note, this post was formulated without the use of any chemicals or mentally enhancing or suppressing substances whatsover. I felt like I had to put that out there because reading it back it sounded like something I would have said when under the influence of something.)

"I feel the way you would
I feel your presence
I remember"
One thing I've always loved about Neil, more than his percussion skills are his lyrics. Been playing guitar for over 2 decades, been a Rush fan for the exact same time, even spent a few years in a cover band... hence the name

Favorite lyric from the second song.
"How could you believe that the life within the seed
That grew arms that reached
And a heart that beat.
And lips that smiled
And eyes that cried.
Could ever die?"
Yes to Yes!
