Serious Blizzard it look like to me that basically clean up texture on body and basically did most of work on her face what joke it feel like put in 0 effort in Night Elf while you have put more effort in Orc, Dwarf, Gnome, Human model.

Not all of us are into blood elves.

The Night Elves were always muscular (compare to the "before" image in the OP, it's barely any different, in fact the arms are getting less muscular) while the Blood Elves have always been more "dainty", so I'm not sure what you mean.

To me Tyrande and her priestesses were the only NE females that I thought had skinny body types. When I read the WoW books they made them seem to be more like the new model(warrior women) b/c they were huntresses that had to hold on and ride sabercats and wield big heavy weapons.

    I like the new model.

But lets be honest "the face" is all people really see as the body the clad in armour.  So it makes sense to put the most effort into the face.

It seems they've de-sexualized her a bit, smaller butt, smaller bust. But yes she does look more manly, more muscular, huge thighs...

They were usually described as pretty muscled and "amazonian" so this kind of makes sense.  They're a warrior race, after all.

    You make me like charity

I agree. I like Hearthstone, but I think the WoW team started to lose their way around 2008. For example, the Chopper YouTube series is a waste of time - I don't bother with that.

When they first announced they were redoing the models I thought it was going to be awesome and would put WoW on course to stay competitive for years to come but everything so far has been disappointing.  If it turns out that the new models have a ton more polygons but half look worse than the original models this could be more of a disaster for WoW.

They seem to be having a particularly hard time with the eyes, the human female looked like she was on meth and the draenei model had noticeably larger eyes like they were turning her into an anime character.

Body - definitely female, but the face needs some work done on the jaw line and cheek bones to give it more of a feminine touch - still looks good regardless.

Kind'a agree. Liked all other changes however, but this is total down. This is more Blood Elf then Night from evilness in their look. I just hope this does not stay this way.

Why? Looks like strong female character, not manly. why is that some people outright call strong women "manly"? insecurity? small penis? or smaller in height than this women?

And also blizz need to stop with their pre made body sizes, faces and what not. they should let us create our own character; i understand they can't get anywhere near black desert but at least allow us to edit like single player rpg would have been reasonable. All these money earned every year and this is the best they can do?

I was referring to the broad shoulders, thick legs, thick thighs, and big feet. These are features most associated with being a man. Hence, "manly." Merely made an observation. No clue what it has to do with "strong women."

Yeah and why are those only for men? i used to spend 5 hours in gym when i was 17-19, i knew and still know those girls in there who were taller than me and broader than me. i never thought they were manly and i they are much more nicer than your "girly" girl you find so erotc.[mod edit]

Agreed on the facial features looking too masculine.

I've been somewhat impressed with all the race updates so far, with gnome being the least exciting, but I'd say night elf is now my least favorite design in terms of how much has changed.

We may also need to change all the voice acting for the night elves if they get this new look, as the look appears savage and hard, as opposed to the soft-spoken, tender voices that the night elves have had since their design.

This is generally the kind of thing that happens when a TV show or game series runs too long - the people responsible for the original artistic vision get replaced as people leave the production, and the new writing/ design choices start to contradict the old ones.

only the fingers. I dont consider fit/ripped women "manly" unless its an extravagant muscle building thing. But yeah the fingers do look manly in those pictures. Blizz could make her buttz a bit bigger though.

this needed to be done along time ago in wow. Like maybe when burning crusade came out with the new blood elf model. They should have updated all the models then and in wrath of the lich king add in housing. I think its a lie that Blizzard said they didnt have enough resources at the time too do that. They did. They just were being cheap and didnt want to spend the money and hire people too do it.

All in all it looks good and i am looking forward to the male version.. Let´s see if they do the over 2 meter tall wall of muscle justice.

THANK YOU! I'm Happy there are people that agree. I for one love the new models.

What kind of frames do people expect from Night elves who spend their entire lives fighting for survival looking all skinny / weak?  *shrug*

The new models are an improvement I say

    1. Why do you associate masculinity with strenght? That's messed up. Don't associate femininity with weakness, nab, women can, and do, look feminine and be just as strong as any man, if not more.

    2. Night elves were the wet dreams of every straight teen boy, not the symbol of femininity. There is not symbol of femininity in mmorpgs, sadly. IF you mean "the symbol for womanhood'' that's a completely different thing, and also false as well.

    3. Women can be naked with good bodies and NOT be sexualized... WHOA, incredible idea, RIGHT?!

people saying that she "looks too manly" i got some news for you - women not all look the same. I know, I know, take some time to process it. Also I'm surprised in a good way that blizzard didn't try to over-sexualize female characters unlike other developers do, which is why I respect WoW - male and female chars differ only by their merit not by their looks.

If you think that this is ''not feminine enough'' or that it's not "realistic" enough or that women should have femininity to be considered female then you're pretty much living in medieval times and need to sit down and never open your mouth again.
