Well, this is how it is, but is more fun than you can think; a lot of combos and all. But what you described is correct.
i will definitely give it a try since its free to play and i do like asian games, but i know i will most likely quit very early because i have never enjoyed heavily instanced mmos with persistent towns as lobbies. I wouldnt mind having each zone separate as long as each zone is persistent and not only the towns.
Don't expect a NA release version, and its a shame because this is a game I would love to play. No, I don't want to play the "patched" Japanese version.
Yay MMORPG.com staff actually listen to me , I thank you for that , shame you got the fact that as someone else posted that it's the official release on the 29th , the 27th is early access to those that played in the beta a few weeks ago.
Now yes it blocks IP's that are not any of the following countries Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Philippines. SO it's VPN time , there are really cheap ones , I found one costing $49.99 a year , just look them up.

O and btw , I played on the Japanese server for 3 weeks and the 3 x 4 man emergency missions are by far the best MMORPG experience , in fact online any game , I have ever had , period. The only problem was no friends joined the server and the language barrier stopped me playing. SO try it out and you will not be sorry , I can assure you. Again it won't be the only game you play as it can be a little grindy at times. O and also when they announce how much things cost I will post that too. I am about to download the game within the next few hours , apparently it takes days ;/.

Personally I miss Japanese games getting ported and I believe it's "hard to please" attitudes that made us lose so many great ones and never get many new ones, please just support and say you want it if you really do. I know I want this, but believe Sega despises us at times which in some ways I cannot blame.

I've played PSO on the DC, GC and PC as well as PSU on the PS2 and apparently that just wasn't enough for SEGA to give us a Western release? Right well don't panic but it has come to my attention the linked pso2 utorrent pso2 facebook link contains malware. Really has upset me this as I pointed to it . Now check if your internet browser has changed if it has then do some of the following. Delete utorrent ( the game folder is fine as is ) , also delete a program called search protection by bigott inc I think . Set your settings in your brower back to default and virus check. Sigh you know all this waiting time for this game and now this happens , it's a no wonder I'm not going to talk about pso2 after the 29th , this is just the nail in that coffin.
Again I am very sorry. I almost give up helping anyone with bleedin SEGA products or anything to do with the internet. Why did the game have to be on PC only. I miss my console days a lot now.

It also seems to have hidden something called toolbaru within AVG free anti virus 2014 , so I repaired the installation and everything seems okay again now. Malware who needs it ugh.
