How is the ignore feature

hatefulpeacehatefulpeace Member UncommonPosts: 621

I like pvp in mmorpgs, but every game I have played with pvp in it the people in it are I dono "special in the head" I guess. They take it way way way way to seriously. Like killing me in a fantasy world has some meaning beyond the game. Any ways, is there any way to shut the chat off, and block tells other then friends? Also is it easy to ignore people? Like just click and they are ignored.

i like that you fight people instead of nice much more challenge. I don't want to read how people think they achieved something, by killing me. Such as, you retarded newbie, who can't play suck, and I am going to mow you down, and corpse hump you. Which I have heard recently from a pvper. I find people who pvp, which to me is no different then playing chess with some one, have no idea how to be civil about winning or losing. It is like if I played chess with them and they won, they would flip the board over, and throw pieaces at me saying I suck. Or if I win they flip the board and hit me with pieaces saying I cheated.

If I am forced to read this from these people, then I will have to pass. I have enough to teach my kids how to play nice with others, I don't need to see it in a game where I am relaxing enjoying my self.

They are really easy to ignore , I don't see the problem here.

Yes I want to play a mmorpg. If every one in the game is like my 7 year old, and 4 year old fighting, then no I don't want to play. I never played a mmorpg where every one is like that. I was just making sure it was easy to ignore the people I have no desire to communicate with.

Your question is complete valid, my observation was only about the way you describe a possible pvp envoriment in a online game and i think you just describe a possible online game envoriment, no matter if it is pvp, pve or only chatting room.

Very true. I find though most of the people I described don't play pve group based games, because they are anti social, and people in those community's don't tolerate board flipping.
