A new teaser "reveal" page that simply features a week long count down timer has cropped up on the Marvel Heroes site. We are as mystified as you probably are but are open to your theories and speculations as to what it might mean. Opine away!

They are having their one year anniversary on 3 or 4 June...does that help?  They have been talking about a lot of rewards, etc.  Has not really been a secret (except for what is actually going to be given).

I enjoyed MH but they need to do more for single character leveling. Once you hit level cap it shouldn't take more than 20 hours or so to completely gear out a hero with the exception of probably a few artis and a legendary. This is probably one of the best game for players that have altitis since they do come out with a new hero every month.

That's what prestige ranks are for, people who prefer to focus on very few heroes. Plus the alternate advancement system is being released with the anniversary event patch, I believe.

And yes, every time you 'reroll' your character with the prestige system it takes longer to level back up to 60.

AN' DERE AIN'T NO SUCH FING AS ENUFF DAKKA, YA GROT! Enuff'z more than ya got an' less than too much an' there ain't no such fing as too much dakka. Say dere is, and me Squiggoff'z eatin' tonight!

Probably the day they unleash the "Omega System", the alternate advancement system. The hexagon is used in the Omega System pics that Gaz has shown and posted.

Well actually if you hover your mouse on top of the hexagons, you will see the sequence:

    2 0 1 5

So maybe thats a clue as well...

Just a tiny nit, it requires the same amount of exp when you 'reroll' your hero for prestige for the first 5 times you do it (green, blue, purple, orange, red). Only exception is the new cosmic prestige level (yellow), that one does takes longer because you receive less exp (technically it requires the same amount of exp).

So no, it does _not_ take longer to level back up to 60 (except for cosmic prestige).

edit: oh and the counter has got to be for the 1 year anniversary. It's in a week, 4th of June.

Wow, "2015" is pretty awesome.  Some good stuff already.  Way to go!  One of my favorite PC games at the moment.

(did someone not know that 5 in Roman numerals is V?  just find it funny Fortunes I-IV and now Fortune 5)

Same here also tha ks for the 2015 clue.
  • UtinniUtinni Member EpicPosts: 2,209

2015 is referencing the start of their "marvel year" where their licensing and planning is laid out. A lot of it was talked about by the devs on their forums last night, weirdly at like 2am.

Anyone who enjoyed diablo 2 needs to give this game a try. Omega system they are adding is akin to Everquest's AA system.

It's the start of the 2014-2015 season for MH!!! Lots of awesome stuff is coming!! Raids, Omega system and a ton of other stuff! I can't wait!! David Brevik continued doing what he does best making great games! The staff at Gazillion use the feedback by the community and communicate with the members on the forums and things such as twitch. Honestly one of the best games and Free 2 play models on the market today.

I agree considering that the timer ends at 6am PDT on the 4th of June, which would be when they update for the anniversary. Also it could signify the start of the new season of content beginning with the first raid against Surtur.
