Come June 4th, the game should be surprisingly lag free... amazing how that happens whenever a new MMO gets released.

maybe perhaps they should have beta tested till it actually worked?

I agree it will be much more noticeable early evenings and Saturday morning

Well, my Char looks like it should so i guess that bug does not hamper me - the bug that counts is that no one (friends/guild) is anymore online, including me.

From what I hear the patch was one of the worst my friends have experienced in their gaming lives. It kinda figures, given how many issues went unresolved prior to release. However, not fixing everything that was screwed up in one patch isn't really an issue. It's going to take them several months to get the game in the kind of shape it should have been in for release. The rest of the criticisms are more than fair, and actually leave out a couple things I've heard about like rollbacks and container proximity problems.

Clearly you never played The Secret World right after it launched.

For that matter - GW2 had a ton of defects at release and intro'd a ton more with their initial major releases. Karka event - anyone else enjoy the massive lag-fest and being DC'd and not getting loot?

All games run into defects. I fully expect the bugs in ESO to be corrected since the devs have an income stream from subs. The game has been out such a short time - expecting perfection at this date is a bit much.

The devs have an income stream because Zenimax still needs to cash in on console box sales not because of the handful of subscribers that are left.

Sadly I had to force myself to cancel my subscription today. The last patches made the game even worse than it was from the beginning. PVP has a lot of gamebreaking bugs and exploits. And the newest feature: huge lag spikes! All in all I don't see this game being worth the monthly fee right now. Maybe I'll come back in 3-6 months but I doubt it. Next hope: REPOP

Elite: Dangerous - Space Exploration & Trading.

    [mod edit]

Zelax does sound like a content locust, if you have already been playing at top level for a while you are going to have issues with any MMO. Having hope that future MMOs will somehow solve this is a forlorn hope. Nothing is ever going to be that good. TESO is a strong MMO, you won't get better than that.

problem for me is, since Craglorn, everyone sort of just grind, which now is hard to find people playing at the previous map ( the Alliance map )

like i tried a bit of the Grinding my self because everyone was talking about it, yes, at first it was cool, i was getting so much exp but then after 1-2 days, i sort of get bored and back to the story..

but it seems like a lot of people doesn't even care about Craglorn content any more, all they do is grind and grind, makes the map so unplayable as no one are doing the public dungeon,

also the Error is insane, everytime you join a group, either you survive the lag or you get booted out.

for me, i think i might have to cancel my sub, then maybe take a rest from TESO for 1-2 months, then return to see how it is

good luck guys, but i love the game while it last for me, just that at this current state, i kinda lost my interest in TESO gameplay especially the end content part, but i will definitely come back and play it one day

    So What Now?

I have been around for every mmo launch i have NEVER played a game with as many game breaking bugs as ESO i can't finish quests, i'm bugged in phasing can't see mobs attacking me, they kill me in 2 hits i die, they keep attacking me while im dead and kill me over and over and over pressing release or spawn here would not work and it destroyed my gear.

This bug happened dozens of times it not fun loosing epic gear to bugs, the state the game is in i have played alphas more stable than this game with less problems.

Sure every new mmo game has problems but not at the scale that ESO has every time they fix a bug they create 20 more, actually turbine had the same problem but not as bad look at what happened to asherons call 2.

I have canceled my sub maybe i will check back in a few years but when half quests you try to do are bugged it's not worth playing if you can't advance in main quest because it's bugged.

Chronoss you joined us earlier this year, I thought you might be just another one of the posters we have had on here who joins to slag of TESO. Checking your previous posts I find you have slagged of AA, Star Trek, GW2, Rift, Wildstar and Landmark. You then had a very brief love affair with TESO and are now slagging TESO. Go to a doctor, that much anger is not good for your blood pressure. :)

my main character is stuck in the "requesting character login"

dont care about you personally but its an old tactic when a person is right you try and attack them

and if you read all what i say its TRUE

ALSO i left your guild cause you are obnoxious fans of a game that in my 33 years of gaming has never been so buggy.

Ive said this and i will say it to YOU...if i had to make a program andmake one what had this much issues and live off its income ...well i'd be broke and unemeployed and get a reputation and never get a programin job ok.

ALSO my beta experience with wyldstar was horrible, GU2 they nerfed me twice inside a week and then my alt the week later...sorry im not enjoying this genre much am i?

Seems ot me YOU DONT LIKE ME BEING DAMN HONEST....sucks to be you.

I have talks with in game gms bud....and ill say it after a 3 day battle versus the bots int hat balfoyen the one said "we need mroe people like you" , i would add people that just attack others they dont need.

please go read all my posts and show me what was factually incorrect.....AHAHA see you can't so you try and paint me whom actually in that bot war gave prolly 2000 ore away to real humans over that 3 days for nothing, as a bad person,.

SIr YOU'RE EITHER INSANE, or need medical help. I love the guilds im in even includes my own werewolf one.

GLad i never stayed in yours ....sounds pretty depressing that way you just have to love the game that has this many issues.

I will add that this is 2014 not 2000 , not 1980 , or 1970...there is no excuse to have such bad awful game programming.

I have played trek and its very grindy iots true go play it .....

i also spent 700 bucks on that game to support trek.....what did you spend ?

in DCUO i got to a point of anger about the eocnomy and got together 50 people and we took back the economy for players rather then the types that are way too greedy ( daedric motiff 125 K anyone LOL in TESO)

left there cause it was boring and grindy too

seeing a pattern its not me that is the problem its the lazy showdy programmng and awful game play....ALL ROUND

do not attack me sir, take a hard look at what you are and why you wish to defend this kind of game and others as well.

you ewant my review of star wars as well?

you want my review of path of exile as well?

how many games have we all tried and there are all these issues....

I then discover that most games use the same back engine  or two....they are not making there own game engines, just trying ot add content into them

thats why it takes so long to fix. NOW havok engine is its own beast go look up other posters onits lovely history and why you'd choose this engine er not

NOW the sites down for "maintenance and if it comes back not fixed i unsub.

    LIFE IS SIMPLE

    -------------

also iw as in a teamspeak chat with one of the major pvp guild leaders saying he doesnt care about bots and would rather spend 15 bucks and get gear and gold then do pve and such.....

thats where i kinda went oh really ....and was about to leave that chat and pvp group when the game crashed , and my character wont load up....ironic dont ya think a bot lover found me after all that.....and then what.....

suffice it to say next chance i ever gte to gt in the game and talk to aingame gm .....i'll be mentioning that entire group

its even a large intra game "clan" ....he should know its against the terms ....not saying he did buybut he was strongly in favor of it.

Or, perhaps, we're not having any of these problems; we play with numerous other players in large trading guilds who are not having these problems; and the people enjoying the game are getting really, really tired of people chaining together every problem that anyone has ever had and pretending that this is a normal user experience.

I'm in four large trading guilds with hundreds of active players on at all times.  Three are growing and capped.  If the game was such an utter hell you'd think that people would be complaining nonstop. There are a few - but the operative word is "few."  There are a few in general chat too, but again not many.

It's too bad if you're affected by issues, but to pretend that these things are universal is utterly unfair.

I agree, I am having lots of fun and the people around me in game seem to be enjoying themselves too.

If people don't like the game then move on instead of posting all these "the game is broke and sucks threads"

I been having a pretty smooth ride since release, not perfect but nothing game breaking for me.  All I can say is if sqaure-enix can turn final fantasy 14 around, I have faith Zenimax can do the same for ESO.  And FF14 was far worse when it first released, like an abomination.

what do you do in this game......i used to say what you do for about a week....then it all started, falling through stuff getting stuck on walls....trying to get stuff via farming vs the bots....no one has gold ot pay the prices....unless you buy form a gold seller

add to that got my main back went into pvp and in 40 minutes it starts acting up again i high tailed it out , decide ok ill go farming ore and such ...OH LOOK no bots .....i start i get going 5 minutes later ..1 shows up then 2 then 5

this games either been hacked and the botters know or its a dev doing this shit.

there is no way unless a person in one of two guilds i posted into today is actually a botter

they need to go at this cause its criminal maffias that get this money and the crimes they do are not just selling you gold....

think i might just stuck to single player games and save huge money....

so who are you and what are you doing in the game....buying gold and then items up off a few players that manage to get that drop when a bot cant....

    this game is BOTS ONLINE

Chronoss2015, to my knowledge we have never been in the same guild, so no idea what you are talking about there. You have been extremely negative about every game you mentioned on this site and even added a couple more in your last post. I just can't understand that, every gamer likes something out there.
