Ooooh, controversial thread title. :-)
Cool your engines though, the title question is specifically related to ESO and I put it in this forum for a couple of good reasons. Let me explain:
1. I played ESO since beta, bought the game, subbed, but ultimately unsubbed due to various reasons, many of which have been mentioned many times and very eloquently by others, so I won't go into details here. I've seen other former ESO players who've moved to Wildstar and I'd like their opinion. Compare and contrast, that kind of thing.
2. I want a fair, non fanboy assessment of Wildstar, which I'm unlikely to get in the Wildstar forum. Now, you may point out quite correctly that I'm unlikely to get a fair assessment of Wildstar in an ESO forum, but I'd refer you to point 1. and ask specifically for impressions of those who have played both ESO and the final release of Wildstar. Please, no beta toe-dippers (nothing against you, but I feel a quick beta dip isn't enough for a fair assessment) and pretty please, no nasty comments from people who haven't even played both games. I really shouldn't have to point out why the latter is a silly and disingenuous thing to do.
Thanks to all in advance.

Honestly, I find it much better than I thought it would be. I semi-followed the game just because I'm a huge nerd for mmo's, and I have found it very fun.
There is a lot, and I mean a lot going on in it. It is like they took all themepark ideas and condensed it into a huge hodgepodge. I don't personally like the cartoony graphics, but it fits the game well and you get into it fairly quickly. I'm not a fanboy of the game, but imho it is worth the box price, but I will have to get back to let you know if it's worth a sub.
