Elite mobs running in the wild...

Lord.BachusLord.Bachus Member RarePosts: 9,686

After level ten i noticed at some places and caves, there are elite mobs mixed up with the normal mobs... and mobs of several strengths...

i watch some people mindlessly plowing trough mobs and getting owned hard.... I guess they never even noticed what happened..

So be carefull what to attack...

    looking forward to that.

I thought elite mobs had the little skill on their avatar frame but apparently thats not it because those were as easy as any trash mobs.

Gotta find those elite dudes.... if the queue allows it (3 hours wait)

I have seen these as well, I offered up some healing and was spamming the only heal on my bar like a champ, but even with that folks were dying left and right. I was like wtf was that? left me feeling vulnerable as I moved on.

I've noticed mobs in the second zone that goes way beyond the regular (2) mobs. Normal  mobs have 4-9k health or so. Elite's sit around  30-35k. Then there's mobs that has 50-110k+ health. I accidently attacked two of these, but fortunately in an area where other people, including healers, were present.

But man, trying to kill a named tar beast thing - that was rough. Kept pulling not one, but two other elite(2) mobs + some random trash mobs.. I once died when he had 75 health left. That was a bit depressing.

However, I enjoy a game you can die in. With many MMO's there's no danger of dying really.

Umm most MMOe you can die in - that's not the issue, the issue is the meaninglessness of death.

It's usually a small fee and a free teleport to the nearest graveyard/respawn point.

    WS is no different.

I think you took his point a little too literally. Most mmos have become a face roll. Unless you do something really stupid you're never in any danger of dying.  Having to navigate mobs that will stomp you is something we don't often see anymore.

Well maybe ppl cant faceroll them like normal mobs but Id say its hardly anything special. ESO tried a lvling content you cant faceroll thru and look how it worked out for them. Vets have no problem faceroll thru it anyway and only thing it accomplished there is flood of Too Hard QQ threads from more casual crowd.

I gotta agree with you. I played WoW again when MoP released and didn't even die until around level 55. But then again, like most people, I have WoW areas memorized.

Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.

    Either that, or just challenges...

Remember targetting a guard or vendor and hitting A(ttack) instead of H(ail) on your keyboard? Instant death.

ha - that was my 1st time attacking and first death :)
