RFO is just another version of L2!!

From what I'v seen so far, RFO is just another version of L2. They are useing the same engine as L2. The only thing new about RFO is the lore and the Accretia race. Almost Everything looks the same, from the UI, Icons, landscape and even the character models are the same as L2. Like the Female from Cora Looks just like the Female dwarf from L2 model, same with the Elf from L2. All the really did was change the name from Elf to Bellato. If you ask me thats just lazy. I'v played L2 for a while and i can see another L2 from miles away. These developer don't care if you like the game or not they just want your money just like L2. They let you preorder the game. Thats like buying beta testing spot for RFO but you can only play after the phase 3 beta is over. Well theres only 3 beta phase, if you buy the beta spot. The only thing you can do is creat your account befor other people because after phase 3 the game gos live.

This is just a warning to you people who is looking forward to playing this game, And to those of you who still wants to play this game....Have fun with the FARMERS!! if you have played L2 you will have a better picture what i ment.

Might I suggest doing some more research first.
Because this game does NOT run on the same engine as L2.
It uses the R3 engine and is designed by CCR specifically for MMORPGs.
Both games are from asia that's obvious when you look at the character models.
But if you look at the character models for a bit there is a big difference.
UI is different too, though you probably didnt bother to look at the details, for example the use of multiple short-cut bars at once.
Unlike L2 where NCSoft had to stay true to the original game Codemasters can actually change things to make it better for the US & EU market, such as making the grind a bit less long.
And about the beta thing, Codemasters gives a BONUS with the beta packages allowing you to have some for maybe 2 weeks or so while waiting for the game. How can you possibly get angry at something that is FREE?
I do have to agree with the farmers, that might be a problem, but it's a problem in most games around. And I assume you do not know that people from China/Korea/Japan/Phillipines cant play the US/EU version.
This probably wont change your mind, and I doubt you will bother with anything I said here, but next time please use facts instead of things you made up.
Both of the engines looks the same to me. I ment both are unreal Engines but customized. compairing the 2 games i don't see any difference. sure RFO runs on UR3 and L2 run on UR engines. but shouldn't it look a little more different? and yes the UI look different but to me it looks like a touch up. Anybody who knows how to make there own UI can do that. Did you see any of the screenshots? i'm pretty sure you would agree with me after you go through them. I don't know maybe i'm the only one who can see how similarity between the 2.
Why can't asia play the US/EU version? I thought they said in L2 that the asians can't play on the US server but i found a lots of Farmer almost every corner.
If you can explain to me what they did to the US/EU version that asia can't play on the same server? Correct me if i'm wrong, didn't they try to Blocking all the asia IP so that they can't play on the US server? If they are trying the same attempt again, i'm sure they can get on the US server again. If you think these things are not facts so be it. Not saying any of us is wrong here. But i hate to be the one to say... I told ya so lol
I'd like to know of an MMO that [b]doesn't[/b] have a problem with farmers.
The only reason I left Lineage ][ was because I downloaded an .ini file that gave my access to someone. I returned to a naked 55 Phantom Ranger. Stupid as it was downloading that file, thats the only reason I quit.

Thre reason why we won't see many asian farmers in cmRFO is because asians have their own localised versions of RFO already. The China has one, Phillipines, Japan and Korea (obviously) so really we shouldn't see an awefull lot from them. Western farmers on the other hand...I couldn't say.

I said i once and i will say it again. This is nothing like L2. I know I have played and still play l2 since beta on barts server. There game play or point of the game is no were near L2. The only real argument are the cora race witch hello there elfs. How many ways can you draw a damn elf? If it was not like l2 some moron would say hey it looks like wow's elf or some othere midevil BS game. The weapons are nothing like L2. L2 does not have mau's, launchers ect. The way you level wow nothing like l2. GUI not like L2. (more like WOW but once agian there are only some many ways to draw it) What do you expect? Skill anima looks far better then L2. Class change nothing close to l2. Should i go on.
Sorry for the little rant, but i'm getting sick of people posting thinking this game looks like L2 or WOW. When in fact if you do a little research you will see that it not even close. The only argument you would have to this being L2 is the cora class and that like saying WOW is like L2, because they both have a rogue class. It's just plain dumb.
I read somewhere that in RFO you can mine unatended which is suposed to be a good source of income for people under level 30. I think that in it's self is going to keep farmers away.
Can anyone verify what players are able to do to make money afk?

Aww man, I forgot where I saw that. But I do remember reading it. Yes, it is possible to make money AFK. Until someone comes up and kills you anyway. But by the sound of it, the mining area is so vast either you will be safe in numbers or be able to find a nice out of the way corner to go solo. Check some of the other RFO forums, you might find a snippet here and there about people making money by afk mining. But if I remember correctly it was on one of the game promo sites. So it should be pretty valid. Hopefuly that will deter the farmers a little bit since it seems the game has a divided economy and allows low levels to amass enough funds for whatever they need. The higher level stuff is like any other game from what I understand. So if the farmers do anything it might be high end item farming. But given there will most likely be a ton of non-farmer characters going after it in PvP zones there should be some semblence of control over that kind of farming.
Mining for minerals is fully automatic. The only things the player is required to do is:
1) Have a mining tool
2) Have enough batteries to power your tool for the amount of time you wish to mine
3) Get to the location in which you want to mine (This can be right outside your races gate all the way into the core of the mines, the further away from the gates and closer to the core you are the faster you will get minerals for your time mining)
4) Equip the mining tool and click the button to start mining.
People that have done the math on mining have thrown out numbers like mining will make you 300k-450k an hour, and for every stack of 99 ore that you turn in you have a small chance of getting a talic (talics are worth a good amount to other player if you are looking to make money, or you can use them yourself to upgrade your equipment provided it has slot for talics (when using a talic you also have a chance of lossing the talic and I believe all other talics that have been used on the item))
Hope that explains a little bit about the mining system.
Farmers will not be a problem because money is fairly easy to get. L2 is different. Its fine.
*sigh* that stupid mine has nothing to do with the gameplay coz most of games can do somethin like that! try playing tantra!...and one more thing, this game is indeed an L2 CLONE! I'ts not with the engine..it's the design of how it is built! try playing L2 and see or rather EXPERIENCE for urself!

You're saying just because RFO is a MMORPG, that it's a L2 clone. Just because they make good graphics, have an elf race, and it takes place outside, it has to be a L2 clone? Get a life, because almost every new MMORPG game has an elf race, does that make them all clones of L2?
