Think I should buy the game?

thepkerthepker Member Posts: 192

Im a 12 year old... I know I am young but I have more experience in this stuff than me 15 yr old friends

I played warcraft 2, reign of chaos and frozen throne of the Warcraft series

I do like its cartoon graphics

I watch ppl play it at network cafes... mostly 16-20 yrs old

I played the following Mmorpgs:

Guild wars-Everquest-Runescape (if u can call it a mmorpg)- Knight online and flyff

So what do you think? should I buy it... I mean 15$ per month n 40$ is a big price to considerimage

    hi,

Considering you ae 12 years old I would suggest WOW. However

with your clear use of the english language perhaps you are much

more mentally older than your physical age. Therefore I would suggest

skipping WOW as teen speak, sheer dumbness sprinkled with

incredible selfishness and cartooney graphics will frustrate the hell'out of ya. Cheers ::::20::

Whoever posted this, i will answer the question.

I have 12yo & 11yo boys who both enjoy the game very much, although i do restrict their gameplay times so that they still go out and swim, play football etc...

There is an easy, smooth learning curve and with the addition of the login tips it makes getting familiar with the game even better.

It must be Thursday, i never could get the hang of Thursdays.

WoW is a good game.  The quest system works really well.  It's not much about exploring, and the community seems to be heavily immature.  The graphics aren't bad, but they are cartoonish (some people dig it).  Given your age, you would probably like it more than some other games that cater more to the mature or older players.  Only other problem with WoW is that the endgame is rather weak compared to a game like DAoC.

You can play WoW as long as you do well in school.  I have two kids younger than you, and it can detract from school if you are not careful.  Good luck, hon.

While it has a rather immature player base (a lot of them but not all of them) and can appear cartoonish, I will say it's a lot of fun and a nice stress free game. I played EQ, AO, GW, DAoC, EQII, SWG and a few others and this one is by far the least stressful and most fun of all of them.

I will say that if you do decide to pick it up, do not let it interfere with your schooling. Better to cut your play time short a bit during the evening and get good grades in school than get 60 in a month and have to repeat a class or fail or something equally vile.

But, ignore the community freaks who like to grief ppl, try the quests out, do your own thing and don't let griefers get to you. YOu will have some fun in this one I think.

Don't bother, they still haven't gotten their acts together in regards to the proper way to run a MMORPG and the servers are having issues almost daily now so you'll never be able to log-in unless you don't play during primetime.
