It will suck. Gez, a ton of people running around with Matrix powers is just dumb. I saw the video and thought it looked retarded

The Matrix theme sold out last year and it just hasn't stopped. I thought the single player of it sucked and I'm sick of seeing the matrix advertised in everything like taco bell, nvida, and about a billion other places.

It has just got annoying.

Granted the advertisements, the merchandise have all gotten to be rather lame, I still like the movies. Though the second one had too much of that stop and go animation.

I honestly cant wait for matrix revolutions... that movie looks awesome.

And blow ass it will.... Let me start off with the movies.

The first matrix movie was probably one of the best movies i have ever seen. Once that did so well, they got a ton of money. With this money, they blew it all off on special effects and didn't even think about dialogue and acting on the second and third. I think that will show alot on how they use their money on the mmorpg game. I'm assuming the graphics will probably good, but the game itself will bomb.

Speaking of good graphics and terrible gameplay.. What other mmorpg movie does this remind you of? *cough* SWG *cough*

So i think Matrix Online will pull a SWG, unfortunatley

This game will blow ass as everyone else has said. You can not make a good matrix game multiplayer. It would be like turning those star wars games "Jedi Knight" series into an mmorpg. It WILL NEVER WORK. To have the slow time thing online would make no sense. When you went to like slow time they would have to make everyone around you slow down too or it would be just dumb, seriously think of it. If they didn't one guy would be moving really really slow and everyone else would just be like "WTH?" LOL i can jsut picture it. If they don't put taht in or actually find a good way to put it in, it still won't be a good game. It just isnt that type of game. People who make matrix game should stick themselves on single player games and not put out a crappy game with the name "The Matrix" just so people will buy it only because of it's name. Don't judge a book by its cover. A game can look really good but actually be less interesting then reading the manual of it.

Bad idea for a MMORPG if you ask me,

Probably will sell well initally like all MMORPGs with a trademark behind it but unless they have some amazing ideas the very concept of it will suck.

If they were concerned about acting and dialogue in the first place, they would have stayed away from Keanu. I like the movies but certainly not for the oscar calibur acting.

This game will be a joke, just another attempt for someone trying to sqeeze into the MMOG market that has no business being there.

Since I LOVE the movie, I would LOVE to see them make a GOOD mmo. Maybe if we all give imput and ideas they might incorparte the ideas in the game.

My idea is not everyone has the same MATRIX abilities, and certain abilities can only be used at certain times. ie: slowing down time"MATRIX", can only be used if you are in a closed area (such as a room) and with a certain amount of people. I have some other ideas about how this game COULD be made good.

If they model this game exactly as how the movie is then, as EVERYONE has already said, THIS GAME WILL BLOW............. more than the wind. lol

The movies are good..

I have the Enter the Matrix Game it's not bad for single player, also i have a Half-Life mod that it's like matrix.

But we can't judge until we play it.

I think its just a bad idea to begin with.

Hey haveing a matrix videogame is cool and all, but have'n 1000's of players with the same power on the servers just seems kinda lame. Id rather see them make a good MULTIPLAYER matrix game, but not a mmo.

I think they just wanna use the current MMO hype and make bank off of it. Seriously, does the upkeep of a game cost 15 bucks a month x 200,000 players? Who already payed 50 for the game?

I really think this is a bad idea. When I first heard of it, it sounded good, then I started to try to imagine how it would work. I figure that most everyone wants to be either an agent (a la Smith) or a hacker (a la Neo). Being a regular person would be like The Sims Online with decent graphics, so who needs that?

Now, if you think about it, the world of the Matrix doesn't really translate to a MMOG experience. I joked a couple of months ago that maybe UbiSoft would put in a "Neo-sensitive" slot that would allow you to shine shoes in a repetitive action for 6 months until you got lucky and were "awakened." Still, in the Matrix world, only Neo is good enough to fight agents and live, so who or what does one fight if he is NOT Neo?

Maybe you'll be treated to a lengthy, pointless conversation with the Architect or get to participate in the tribal rave fertility dance in Zion, but it still seems like a big bore. And "bullet time" in a multiplayer game is just a joke. We used to gripe about lag causing the game to slow down, and now people want that? I don't care how many cool chopsocky moves you execute or how many bullets you dodge, it's still slomo, and that just seems boring to me. Trust me, the novelty of bullet time will wear off quickly and eventually be seen as an obstacle, no matter how they try to implement it.

I see the Matrix much like Star Wars. Both have a rabid fanbase that just can't admit that the last 2 movies in the franchise were stinkers. The producers of each know this and realize that they can market a dog turd in a box with their name branded on it (come to think of it, Lucas just did that with SWG) and thousands of diehards will not only buy it, but tell their own deluded selves that it is fantastic.

The game will sell well, but playing it will be like drinking from a spitoon.

NC > DAoC > EQ > UO > fecal matter > leper's oily rags > SW:G
