everyone! It's full steam ahead for the folks at Codemasters Online Gaming and there's no stopping us! With two huge MMORPGs about to hit the store shelves another one is in the works!
It's with great pleasure we announce the acquisition of the publishing, distribution, hosting and service provision rights for North America and Europe of a new MMORPG called ArchLord!
ArchLord comes from a pedigree development house and features gorgeous graphics and thrilling game-play. As the name might suggest, the overall objective of the game is to become the ArchLord! That's right! You can fight your way to the top of your game, literally. You can beat off opposition from tens of thousands of other players for the illustrious, extraordinary and unique position of being the game-world's ruler! Imagine your fame or infamy as your name becomes renowned throughout the land as one to be feared. There's a lot of power that comes with the position however, so who will be drawn towards doing good and who will not be able to resist the temptation of tyranny?
That's for you to decide...
The game's slated for an autumn release so in the meantime it's time to start discovering who your competitors are and to begin assembling your allies as you might need their help to achieve ultimate domination!

Well they haven't exactly got one right yet so there is always room for more in my opinion. When someone makes the game of all games then I see your point...
I don't need companies to make non-medieval worlds that are different just for the sake of being "unique". That won't earn any bonus points with me....

But c'mon, let's be honest...how many second rate fantasy MMOGs do we need?
Well first off they aren't developing it. ArchLord is a Korean MMORPG. (Which I've played) Much like RF Online though they are attempting. To bring popular foreign MMO's to the states and european regions. If you can't respect that then it's on you. Personally I'll be glad to have the game in english. Maybe next time before you knock a game. You should actually try it. Weird concept eh?

It's too funny. Just before I read this thread, I was reading a discussion on another board about what an awful name that was! It cracks me up how different people see things differently.
I don't care, actually, what they name their product. I probably won't give this one a go... it's not my sort of thing, I think. Also, it's Korean and I've had my fill of their version of "grind". I bet the boards will be interesting once this game is released, however. This was a comment on another board, which I found to be both potentially realistic and rather funny:

If you're talking about Codemasters, they are pretty reliable. They make a lot of games which are very popular, especially in Europe. All sorts of games... driving, sports, war... very highly rated, for the most part. As far as MMOs are concerned, however, I'm not sure what they're up to. They seem to have a plan when it comes to these Asian MMOs and they're involved with the Euro side of DDO. I'm not entirely sure what exactly went wrong with Dragon Empires... I was sort of looking forward to that game, too.
