using their Star Wars license?
They won't watch this behemoth of an epic space adventure taking the whole space online market?
How about X-Wing Online? Star Citizen sure could need some 50 million $ budget epic competition, right?
(I'd play both anyway, love both Wing Commander and X-Wing series)

I would rather bet on EA (or Disney?) suing them for using the word "Star" in their game.
It's the new trend - like the makers of pathetic little games like Candy Crush Saga suing other companies for using "Saga" in their titles.
Of course the word Saga is licensed to the 100th clone of Hebereke Popoon, Kirby's Ghost Trap etc. and has nothing to do with a lot of classic rpgs.
Zenimax will probably sue them first for using their technology that allows you to interface a game using a mouse... Or a keyboard.
Well it is not like X-Wing vs. Tie-fighter was a popular brand that fans form days long gone still hold a unhealthy obsession over... .. .
Now the real difference would be that any new X-Wing game would be made for console and ported over to PC later and poorly at best. After all that is how EA have treated ever single game the past 10-ish years.
This have been a good conversation
Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.
Is ToR going to be good? Dude it's Bioware making a freaking star wars game, all signs point to awesome. -G4tv MMo report.
I'm trying to figure out:
A) Why the seemingly random jab at EA? Does the OP know something we don't? Otherwise it seems odd at best.
What exactly is it that Star Citizen is doing that's new or unique enough to be "ripped off"?
I suppose arguably managing to create a highly successful P2W system for a game that doesn't even exist yet is perhaps something EA, among others, might wish to emulate, but somehow I doubt they'd get nearly as much slack cut them for something so utterly ludicrous as Roberts has.
The OP thinks SWTOR's star fighter combat that was just added is just a bad copy of .... I think it was star conflict he said. I tend to agree with him on that.
first of all keep the P2P accusation to yourself it has been debunked a dozen times, an interesting rumor very likely created by publisher shills jealous of the success of SC
second, I know EA has the Star Wars license so making an X Wing Online now with the space sim hype around Star Citizen would be the logical thing
EA will 'ripoff' Star Citizen once Star Citizen is done ripping off the backers. =P
Theres alot of ships that need sold before that will happen.
I hope EA do try and rip-off both Star Citizen and Elite: Dangerous.
Eve Online has never had any real competition at all, so the more competition they get the better. I've never forgiven CCP for abandoning their original mission objective of making the ultimate space sim in 1 game.
I hope CCP get the 'market forces' kicking that they richly deserve.
Eve Online is a game that involves market forces, so the poetic irony of CCP getting punished for their greed through 'market forces' will be so cathartic.
Star Citizen is so last season and their cash milking habits are not that far from EA anyways
But heres something to you EA,watch it carefully The Space sim
