looking for F2P with deep housing

Hi there!

I'm looking for F2P RPG where houses can be heavily customized, where fighting are not the main focus(I mean PvP).

Lotro, Rift and soon swtor.  The issue you may have is housing in these games is usually fairly expensive and difficult to get on the f2p level.

*note* Swtor housing is not out yet so it's hard to say what it will bring compared to lotro and rift.

    EQ2 has player housing

take carpenter for tradeskill and will be able to create plenty of house items

EQ2 also has player Guild Halls  (Guild needs to be at least lvl 30)

pretty old though. Open World Housing. Find and buy a plot, design and craft everything you want, include a shop and so on.

Don't know the current population but I loved it back in the days.

That would be EQ 2. It is simply an amazing game as far as options to customize your house goes and so much content it will come out of your ears.

RIFT is your best option imo

Agreed. Rift has the most in depth housing system I have seen for a F2P game. The great part is, most of the dimension items are farmable in game or craftable through tradeskills.

I have yet to find a game that has the level of customization Rift's dimensions have.

    Currently Playing: ESO and FFXIV
    Have played: You name it

I agree with the above suggestions though there's also Vanguard and if ya not really bothered about not having to kill anything you could look into Landmark which is an upcoming expansion game for Everquest Next and A Tale in the Desert.

Rift.. best FTP game out imo. The housing is very deep.. you can easily have multiple plots. You can start with the housing after a few character levels. Tons of housing items as loot and from npc shops. None of the game is behind a pay barrier. Playing Rift completely for free is exactly like it was when there was a subscription. The cash shop was just put on top of the game, not 'into' it.

Vanguard is shutting down, this month or the next I believe.

I have a 12 room house in Achaea with a garden I can harvest from, a couple secret doors, totems that attack invaders, and a fishing pond.
