Surprisingly not in the general chat channels...
they are using the ingame mailsystem
and they are using the arena PvP team invitations..
prices are mindnubling, about €16 for 100 gold...
Let the battle and the reporting start?

I was getting the mails and deleting, that was at the begining of the week, today (Friday 13th!!) I have logged on and found that neither of my created characters have recieved any gold seller mails, normally I would get about 2 per day.
No idea if Carbine have done something, but I was getting a second delete box when deleting my mails, a bug? or something thats been added, who knows, all I know is today I recieved no gold seller spam.
Also who in their right mind would use the gold sellers at the prices they are using, when it would be better and cheaper to buy a Credd and sell that for over 3 plat (On my server Zhur thats the current price, give or take a few gold), the gold sellers are pricing themselves out of the market already.
So, did ESO have a successful launch? Yes, yes it did.By Ryan Getchell on April 02, 2014.

Noticed this too, the reason they're not using chat is due to something carbine have set up which i think suspense an account, from what i heard, also there isn't a way to report mail. We will just have to wait and see what Carbine can cook up.
I will say, they're getting a little head of themselves with the price lol. This is coming from someone who hates farming and making gold (Was so poor in wow), making 100g isn't even that hard put an hour or lees in to farming or sell anything you get, and you could make that much or more. If it was 5 platinum then maybe lol
How would that even work? Buy the creed and sell it for the same price? they made no profit, if they sold it for more, people would think "why the hell would i pay more when i can get it cheaper from carbine?" and you can't buy it then resell it from the vendor, it's bound to the account once it's bought.

We're working on stopping Gold Sellers using Arena/Friend invites to advertise. Like the Lannister's cousin we will crush them. KUH KUH KUH!

I logged in this morning and within 5 seconds I got an arena invite with the name of the group- ***.BuyWSgold.***
They are persistent...
The funny think is that with that money, a person who really wants gold in-game, can purchase CREDD legally and sell it for like .. 3 plat on my server. That's .. 300 gold.
Now, if they keep lurking Wildstar with their "super" offers , it means that there are ...doh people who buys gold from gold sellers.
If that's the case, then Carbine should really make a big campaign about CREDD , what risks one can have by buying gold from gold sellers, and how safe , legit and CHEAPER it's CREDD in comparation with them.
If there are people here, who reads this, and already bought gold from gold sellers : Are you fucking serious? Take a look at this : http://www.wildstar-online.com/en/game/features/business-model/ ! You can thank me later.
Yes I've had the same arena invites, I'm hoping there will be a grp setting we can turn off, just as we can turn off duel invites etc. It's not game destroying but just a slight irritation.
Just buy cheap creed from players now and wait till the prices go up and start selling gametime to peeps ? or sell it for gold but at higher price. edit, hmm if its bound then it wont work that easily hehe.
edit 2.Well then goldsellers can atleast play the game for free and while they can play for free, normal players are paying their subs

Credd isnt profitable for them though. They cant sell credd back to the company for money. And even if they do sell the credd for more gold whos gonna buy their gold when their prices they sell them when you make way more buying and selling credd.
No but they can buy credd with gold and sell it for cash to other players for cheaper than the $15 for the sub.
Again you can't resell it, once you buy it from the vendor for gold it's bound to your account.
You are correct about that. Just looked it up. Didnt know they got bound after the first transfer. So I guess all you can do is sell gold for cheaper than the going price for Credd. Not very lucrative for these people.
Unless there are more people selling CRED then buying it...

They've also added a filter system to block the arena request spam. The devs seem pretty on top of it so far.
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein
"Graphics are often supplied by Engines that (some) MMORPG's are built in" - Spuffyre
Not surprising as they find a way to get into basically every game.
Hopefully the developers will do their best at keeping them weeded out.
Before Carbine added the ingame mail report function i told all my guildies to "Spam em back and hit return" we all got a giggle out of the fact that the goldsellers were getting back all there mails they sent to all of us... 200+ very active guild.
Oh well Carbine has done more in less than a month combating gold sellers then Zenimax did in 3.
Lolipops !
I've found that so far in this game gold sellers are FAR less annoying than in most of MMO's. I've never seen the typical chat spam with smiley faces and clever characters made to pass filters. The only intrusion I've had is a couple mails and an arena invite, both which are easily manageable/ignored and to me at least, far less annoying than seeing a bunch of random names in chat spamming and having to block each and every one.
As far as them making ingame currency by selling CREDD and then inflating the currency prices to sell for real $$, that is pretty annoying but I'm not troubled by it as much as I would be if I saw goldfarming bots everywhere. I think the CREDD system may actually put a damper on their typical 'IN YOUR FACE' open world bot farming methods which would be a plus in my book. For the most part they are out of sight, out of mind to me, and so my enjoyable game time has had very few interruptions.
The bots are the part that sucks the most. So far I have not seen any node bots thank goodness. This is a big issue since nodes do not work like in GW2 where they are instanced to each player so that everyone has a chance of harvesting it. They can keep real players from being able to get their resources for crafting and skew the economy against them.
I have had some arena invites as well for gold selling and even reported one. I was not sure if that was what it was though because I found it pretty strange that you can join an arena match to buy gold illicitely. Whatever...
