First off there is a lot of bots.. I keep seeing the same bots.. Why is there no right click faceplate and report as bot? Why is there not a dedicated fast team for checking and nuking bots... Pay me $10 an hour and invis / teleport account and I will nuke bots left and right. I will even do quick record proving they are botting for history use... This game does not have 1000000000's of players so it's not like there is a 100,000 bots... But if you don't put money and show force RIGHT NOW people will start thinking its acceptable and do it themselves.
Here is 3 videos of 3 battlegrounds in a row of how annoying bots are:

Worst part I can queue for hours and hours and keep coming across the same bots.. Best time is off peak hours.. I'm willing to work off peak also...

I am pretty sure they will fight bots in the same way they will fight the goldspammers... Both are part of the same problem...
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)
It almost looks like a gameplay feature. Battle Bots or something. Program a bot and let it lose!
I just feel sorry for the people who are actually playing...
Feel sorry for anyone playing ESO. I cant believe how bad the bots were over there. It was a complete mess. You couldnt do anything without running into 20 of them.
At least in ESO they tended to be only in basic PvE grinding spots. They didn't interfere with most group content or PvP in any way.
Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile
yea, sollution, make a post about it on a non related community forum. this will always help.
just curious.... why don't just wait a minute after you left the last game, and get into another queue grp? basic knowledge.
bots don't wait.
and actually, you have been more of a prob in that game, focusing on ONE silly bot instead of helping your team. actually you haven't been much more usefull in those games than the guy you complain about.
"I'll never grow up, never grow up, never grow up! Not me!"
Thats the difference ESO only really had one way to lvl and progress... in Wildstar there are different ways. Sry OP that Bots in a game thats been out 2 weeks is troublesome and is bothering you. I am 47 and havent really encountered them so I will take me being lucky. Carbine has already stated that they are aware and are working on these issues. Like for example they gave use another option in the last patch to report gold sellers
If they copy WoW correctly and respects its history then they let botter do whatever they want.
PS.waiting multiboxers.
So, did ESO have a successful launch? Yes, yes it did.By Ryan Getchell on April 02, 2014.
**On the radar: http://www.cyberpunk.net/ **
Here is why
A: Customer support most likley have other priorities right now, bot´s are a problem but in the grand scheme of things not that important RIGHT NOW.
B: Carbine want to map out HOW the bots get by the systems they have in place now (no company is naive enough to not plan for bots.) and how they best go about to take them out. This takes time and they need data for that. Just randomly nuking bots really don´t do jack.
C: It is a new game... Until they get everything settled in botters know that support will be overtaxed by other stuff.
That will be 100$ consultant fee... i will pm a invoice.. =P
This have been a good conversation
Thats not true what so ever. On Honorbuddy, the biggest bot on WoW tons of accounts are banned everyday. Most are saying that farming from mining, herb, and skinning, are no long viable that its usually a ban within a a few days. I see reports all the time about people losing 10+ accounts all the time even though they thought they were safe. There technology is advancing all the time.
They sue any company that makes bots. There are a few bots that have been taken to court and loss and now owe Blizzard millions in damages, of course which will never be paid.
millions of threads about it all over the internet and blizzards forums.
heres fresh one,not interested copy paste 2 billion threads here.....

So I guess you have a very limited playstyle if you couldn't do anything in ESO?
As for bots, perhaps many people are to naieve or new to these games to not expect them.
Any game that get's populair attention will have these bots or goldscammers in them. Report when can if not ignore.
Thankfully MMORPG offer players allot more then being totally worried about bots but gamecompany's do need to deal with them even if it will get harder and harder with just a google and one can have a bot or cheat or hack. It's a sahme they excist but they are there everywhere.
Perhaps the OP is the one who is putting the bots in the game so that he can get a job to remove them...
Remember... so long as there is a currency associated with any aspect of the game, there will be bots to exploit it. Remove the currency, no more bots. Pretty simple. Win or lose, satisfaction is all you get. No XP, no gear, no status. It's the greed-monger attitude in gaming that has bred bots.
So because there are bots that means Blizzard isnt doing anything about them? Hundreds of bots are banned every day but that means nothing is being done?
Also the thread is about BG bots. BG bots are one of the most sophisticated out there right now. Odds are they dont even know they are playing with bots but actually just idiots who want to farm honor.
I see people all the time in BGs that just sit in the middle killing people because that is what earns the most points. Running the flag over and over and taking 30 minutes to time out because its a tie doesnt award as much points as killing people in the middle for 6 minutes and losing.
Yes,BG bots.
"They have made it more than clear that they don't give a rats behind about the BG bot problem, all you have to do is read the other threads and posts on the subject that have been made in the last couple of years."

Did you read what I said? You wouldnt know if you ran into a BG bot. They have better rotations than that of seasoned vets. They are also smarter than the average player.
These people have no idea what they are talking about. They are mad at the random noobs who get into BGs not the Bots, the bots are carrying them.
It is fascinating how defensive people get.
I guess these people play the game and are worried it will go up in smoke and ash like all the other mmo releases in the last 5 years.
Life IS Feudal
You realize bots in PVP give no help at all? half the time they just run straight into a wall the entire match. People do it for easy AFK XP .

And people who actually does PVP wants play againts players.
simple as that.

Thats not a bot. Like you said, afk...Thats someone who makes a macro.
BG bots are sophisticated.
D. Bots generate income. Banning bots both cost money to catch, and when banned generate no more income. The result is that bots need to cause serious trouble to be worth fighting. Infact I can't think of a mmo that has been very harsh against bots or done much to catch them. Most mmos have their ban rounds where they collect some of the cheaters over half a year, and make a marketing show out of it. Rarely permanent bans, botters just write customer support and claim they lost their accounts to hacking, while other companies just deal out a few days ban because why loose a paying customer.

call it what you want, but this is what people are talking about in WS PVP and TOR's (others) before it.
For every minute you are angry , you lose 60 seconds of happiness."-Emerson
No they are complaining about actual bots. In WoW its different, they make so much money producing these bots that they can afford to make them extremely smart.
In WS the combat is funky and much harder to control, that combined with Credd makes the market very hard. The price for gold is cheap, meaning players are not going to spend much on bots, which means less money coming in for the bot creators, which means less money to go into creating the bots.
If you check out Viperbot, all they do is port over the same information to each game that comes out, they dont make much money off the bots because they are dumb bots so they dont put much into improving them.
Bots like Honorybuddy which have made millions are able to pay people to continue to fix up the bot and make the bot better. WoW is very lucrative for botters so more people want bots for them. People can make over $100 a month from botting on one account.
Blizzard is super harsh on them. But enough that they will come back to buy more accounts. They know that its still worth it to bot even if they get 5-10 accounts banned. The need for gold is so high and extremely profitable. Just check out honorbuddy. Just a few days ago someone with 22 accounts got banned, countless people talking about how many accounts they had banned. You can see all the lawsuits Blizzard have sent honorbuddy but the laws are different were they are so they dont have to abide by US laws.
