ESO official forums thread sinking and damage control

There seems to be quite a bit of controversial moderation going on over on the ESO forums, it appears to me they are trying to eliminate any form of criticism off their boards, with countless constructive threads sunk in order to take the heat off themselves.
They are also going through removing posts criticising this approach:

This was removed because it is in violation of The Elder Scrolls Online Forum Code of Conduct.

One specific term wed like to call out, as well, is the term gay. It is never appropriate to use gay as a derogatory term.

With damage control like that maybe a sign things aren't going too well?

Subscription Gaming, especially MMO gaming is a Cash grab bigger then the most P2W cash shop!
Bring Back Exploration and lengthy progression times. RPG's have always been about the Journey not the destination!!!

I think heavy moderation is great as it shows exactly what the forum and game it is associated with are like.
Indeed. As if there were no third party forums and other platforms where this kind of censoring gets ridiculed. In most games the official forums are a pain to read anyways, because too much moderation makes them shallow, bland and very uninformative.
If I was that mod the person posting that comment would have gotten a week in the "cooler" to reconsider their approach to forum interactions...
Who said I was unhappy with the game? I'm unhappy with the moderation practices and the fact that hot topics that are either asking for certain game changes or might be slightly critical but good constructive discussions are getting sunk in favour for overly positive threads. It's like they are not interested in feedback and are just using the forum as a PR tool, unless you got the rose tinted glasses on and are singing hymns for ZOS your threads probably going to end up on the sink list.

I suggest you read them, because this is exactly the issue I'm talking about, and while I admit my sense of humour might of been a little not for everyone's liking people have said worse and not been acted on so swiftly.

Just had a look over hg2012 posts, nearly all negative slaps at ESO, like a previous guy said, it is a wonder you have not been banned on here.
Of course they should ban you, you do that and then come on here to troll, your attitude is priceless.

You are probably right but it's hard to differ with the amount of White Knights defending ESO.
Not so easy anymore to differ hate/troll posts from people who actually believe what they say.

OP that was a troll post, if you want to get banned, do it like I did in STO and that cost me a ban for life.
