As part of Carbine's promise to release meaningful content on a monthly basis, the team is proud to introduce the first major WildStar update. Called "The Strain", the patch will feature a new zone, new solo content, new gear, housing items, costumes and mounts and some existing areas will be overhauled.
The Strain content update includes:
New Zone, Blighthaven: a massive new zone that includes Cankertube swamp and the gastrointestinal terrors of the Globellum!
New solo content: a new group event like a tower defense game (Guardians of the Grove) and a dungeon-like area for group combat called The Nursery that includes a Boss fight against the Strain-corrupted Elyona the Mad.
Players will also unlock new Strain-themed gear, housing items, costumes and mounts.
Players will be able to revisit areas from Nexus that have been drastically altered; Northern Wilds becomes Northern Wastes and is now a crash site.

Not planning on playing this title but happy none the less to see it doing well and to see a developer at least attempt to keep their word on releasing solid content on a steady basis.
I think this has the potential to illuminate the path for future developers of AAA titles on how to release a game and content updates.
"New solo content: a group event..."
???
On top of the HOURS upon HOURS of solo content they already have, I agree.
The solo story quests [commonly referred to as the "Drusera Instances"] are amazing! Especially that they give more detail about the game's lore than raiding will.

well after the Saints Row, Far Cry's Dragon Blood it has become mainstream this attitude..
but overall its good they focus on updating the title, hope they wont stop on Strain ! even if i wont play the game, i love this norm of adding new content in a regular base aka GW2
unless you're playing wildstar! :-D
